1. I'm not dead yet. So if you've planned on burying me already, cancel your plans.
2. Your recent nanomachine problem isn't my problem, sucks to be you if you've been infected with them. If you wake up tomorrow morning feeling and looking a little more like a corpse, then maybe I'll consider taking a look.

You certainly have a bad habit of leaving without saying goodbye, Commander.
PRIVATE
What can I say. Some habits are hard to break, and I've had enough of leaving a big bang with my actions.
Though, this time I admit, I hadn't planned on disappearing.

And it's rare for something to sneak up on you. Must have been an ordeal.

'Dead' isn't the word I'd use for it. No.
Complicated as hell, is what it is.
Feels more like I was sleeping for a long time. 'Sneak up on me' is exactly what it did.

Like some sort of coma?

You always made decent metaphors.
A coma would be a good way to describe it. Except instead of lying on a bed and sleeping for weeks on end, it was closer to being a dispersed cloud of whatever the hell's wrong with my body, now.
I figure the portal to this place had something to do with putting me back together. Who knows, maybe this 'virus' that's going around is a factor.

I see. It's some kind of nanomachines, isn't it? Perhaps.
Even Dr. Ziegler's biotics couldn't fight them off, hence the state I'm currently in.

Nanomachines, yes. The very same.
Never trusted the things myself the first time a certain old friend of mine started experimenting with them.
Don't trust the ones that are currently buzzing around and making others sick, either.
I'm not familiar with how they work, but you get any worse and you tell me.

I have not heard of anyone dying, at least.
[ There's a slight pause in his messages that Genji will blame on slowness due to the fever, but mostly it's because he's a little blindsided. He doesn't know what to think, especially after his conversation with Cisco that dredged up a lot of feelings. Negative or otherwise.
So he jokes. ]
So you can glare and sneer at them with that echo-y voice of yours until I feel better? A bold plan.

Isn't hard to figure out at all, if you take two minutes to think about it. Just don't much feel like talking about the old Irish witch.[She may have been former Blackwatch and currently with Talon, but he never quite trusted her as much as he may have Jesse or Genji after that whole but with screwing with his body chemistry.
Pity.]
Good to hear corpses haven't been popping up. Don't need any more things like me wanderering around.[And then a pause because wow, how dare you.]
And you can't be that bad off, if your oh-so-witty sense of humor is still firing off at full power.
...
When did you become funny.

[ Okay, that gets a hoarse little laugh that makes him cough for a second. He blows his nose before replying. ]
I have always been funny. Spending time with the Shambali just made me get my sense of humor back.
