To each other and everyone else, since researchers tend to close themselves into rooms and never get any good action, right?

It might be a fact. But you can't really prove it. Your senses could be fooled right now and how you exist might not really be what you think it is. But you believe in your experiences. At some point, you just have to believe it.

Not particularly. What difference does it make if it changes? An end is an end. Semantics or a change in fate isn't going to matter.

Ah, that's not true. Even a slightly different ending is different. The context changes depending on the details.

You don't have to change fate, you know. Sometimes one decision, even if nothing else changes, it still matters. If you don't want it to, then I guess it doesn't, but I like to have the option.
