[ Have a short burst of static as the feed opens to a brunette giving the camera a light tap as she regards the device with an openly curious lilt about her expression. This level of technology isn't new to her, not in the slightest. It's common enough on the Planet, but it's different from the terminals to which she'd grown accustomed in Purgatorium and its novelty still hasn't worn out on her despite her arrival earlier in the month, a tribute to just how much time she's spent resting and recovering given the harshness of the previous world's conditions. She's still too pale for a lack of sun and too thin with some lingering tiredness about her. It's really more convenient, what with this device being mobile as opposed to bolted to the ground, of course. The inclusion of a camera with video function is certainly a clean step up from voice and text with tiny pictures and she expects it will serve her well enough in this new, foreign world.

It's a moment later, once she's sure the device is properly on and functioning, that she offers the camera, the audience an easy smile and a two fingered salute in greeting. ]

Hey there, Riverview! My name is Valeria Myles. I'd say it's nice to meet you, but think I'll save that for individual introductions. If there's anyone from the Planet here or Shinra means anything to you, I'd appreciate it if you could get in touch with me.

[ That smile of hers doesn't slack. The network has always proven the quickest way to determine if there's a familiar face around and about, after all, and it should prove useful in gathering some much needed intel given how little and wholly ideal the information orientation had provided. Things are seldom so good. Speaking of -- ]

Orientation was a little lacking in providing anything beyond the bare minimum details about this place, so I thought I'd ask the lot of you and hope you aren't too tired of these sorts of questions already.

What can you tell me about Riverview? The good, the bad, the ugly -- I'm looking less for the standard tourist answers and more for the nitty gritty, but I'd be glad to take that and everything in between seeing how I'm going to be here a while. [ A pause, brief but thoughtful. ] If you happen to know a place that serves a proper coffee, I'd be happy to take that, too. It's... been a while. It almost seems overdue.

[ Any nostalgia that's managed to seep into her voice is gone as she blinks back to the present. There's that bubbling energy, that smile tugged wider. ]

I really appreciate that. Do you have any particular favorites they serve there that you'd recommend? It's been so long that I might just make it a trip and try a few while I'm there.

What makes it mostly good in your opinion? If you don't mind me asking, that is.

I drink their dark roast. I like it without sugar or cream. It doesn't taste too bitter, like it can when you don't add sugar or cream.

You know, that's a good question. It's been a while since I've had anything like variety at my fingertips and I don't know too much about the climate here yet. Then again, I can't remember the last time I really touched up my wardrobe.

There is a lot of variety. For example, I wear a lot of neutrals, but there are plenty of options for you. I'd probably start dressing warm, personally.

It has seemed a little cold lately. I'm not really sure what sort of colors I'd be partial to either. I kind of feel like that'd depend on the style of clothing? This might be another one of those things better experienced.

Things happen from time to time. But the people are generally nice, and things are generally easy going here.

'Things' as in regular city things, I take it?

Things as in... People changing. Getting younger. Trapping people together until they kiss. It's not bad, but those things could be...not happening.
