[Tony has the Iron Man helmet with face plate up and one of the gauntlets on which he uses to wave at the camera. He's smiling brightly, but there are bags under his eyes and the flush to his cheeks are from more than just excitement.]

Some of you might remember a certain someone's offer to trade junk into something better. Please be sure to get the right guy because I don't work for scraps. If you have trouble telling us apart, other me is highly strung and a little sensitive.

[He taps his fingers against his chin.]

Perhaps we should change names as well. I was already thinking of rebranding Iron Man and getting a new paint job. And he can be... do you think he'd mind if I called him Greg? Or is that a little too morbid using a dead man's name? He'd have to dye his hair too, we look terrible in white otherwise...

[He picks up a bottle with his uncovered hand and takes a drink.]

Okay, it probably is. This silly event has got me maudlin I see.

[ Stark. Or some form of Stark. Either way, Loki is reveling in the state he's in. ]

I was thinking of calling mine "mini-me".

[Between the username, how happy he seems to see Tony and the 'mini-me' comment, it's not difficult to tell who this is.]

I suppose he is a rather cute size.

[There is absolutely no hostility because Loki hasn't been an issue for a while.]

[ There's little point in disguising himself for the Avengers. Best to circumvent that at the root. ]

I thought you prided yourself on standing out.

Oh, I certainly do. But I cannot speak for my, ah, other self. Who seems to be stuck on the teenager phase of his life.

[ He wears hoodies. It's appalling. ]

But I suppose I can understand the impulse.

[ Loki had wanted to fit in, long ago. To be like the rest of Asgard, golden and proud. What a joke that was. ]

Oh, let him be. He's merely reliving his youth like the rest of us wish we could.

[Well he doesn't other than reliving when he had no health issues, but the sentiment still stands.]

[ He raises an eyebrow at that statement. ]

Hardly, being a child prodigy isn't actually that much fun. You can't even drink without people getting all up in arms.

[ That is a little hard to picture, actually. ]

Mortals have such bizarre moral standards.

[He has absolutely no qualms with agreeing with Loki.]

It's a little condescending, but I agree with the sentiment.

A sentiment for the drink? No doubt you would.

[ Still. . . . Tony did agree with him. And that's . . . unnerving. ]

Though I suppose it can lead to . . . deleterious effects.

Why are you playing Devil's advocate now? You can't actually catch cooties from agreeing with someone.

[ Loki shrugs gracelessly. ]

Playing devil's advocate is what I do, Stark. Surely you knew that?

Not really. You don't leave that much of an impression.

[ Well, that's galling. ]

If you're going to do some dick waving how about you just tell me what you've done and then I'll tell you if you won or not.

[It'll save everyone time and Loki gets to be smug faster or avoid humiliation, a win for everyone.]

[ He weighs the possibilities in his head before shrugging. ]

Midgard or Asgard? You've probably won, by the way, his motivations mostly seemed limited to messing with Thor. That's not to say he didn't try it, but it wasn't his end goal.

Midgard.

[ Loki is, despite himself, hooked. He has no intentions of fitting any kind of mold, but the trend in the name is disturbing and tightly woven. ]

What was it? This goal of his.

Prove his superiority to Thor once and for all or something like that. He had a chance to rewrite reality all he did was make us think Thor was crazy.

It's a waste, but good for us.

[dothelokimotion]

[ Unsettling is the word that first comes to mind. Certainly, his . . . hatred of Thor is tied into Asgard and many other factors, but his tricks certainly don't come close to that. He suppresses the feeling. ]

I suppose there was not much room for imagination.

But you're gods. If you have centuries to plan something shouldn't you at least do it right?

[Tony can't fathom the idea of having that much time, but he envies it in a way. He could do so much more if he had just a little more time.]

Time does not function for gods the way mortals see it. You may see a wide expanse. For us, it is a heartbeat. A missed step.

If that was his one desire, nothing else would matter. Not time, not planning. Simply the goal.
