An anger, bitter defensiveness because how dare this rich kid who probably had everything handed to him--who didn't have to survive moving from bus to bus and town to town to stay ahead of hunters and not even know if the money would last through the month if he didn't find a job--tell him about perspective. He steps back, logs off, goes for a long run to work off that aggression before he ends up breaking the phone barely a week into owning it. And after all of that he's calmed down enough to actually think instead of letting that need to start a fight over perceived insults getting the best of him.
