[The phone starts recording at Makoto tries to pry a growing cat off of the screen. There's a little objective mew as he does but he gives him a little chin scritch.]

Oh, Felix. I know, you miss him. [A little meow and he head butts the phone, giving Makoto a chance to turn it full towards him and- oh. It's recording.]

Ah, sorry about that. I, uh, I'm not very good at this but I guess I should tell everyone that Yu Narukami has gone back home. I have his cat, Felix.

[This time, a fuzzy little head butt the phone to look at him.] I've never cared for a cat before. We had Koromaru back in the dorm on Tatsumi Port Island but he's a dog. And pretty self sufficient.

So, advice on taking care of a cat would be very appreciated.

[Willa just stares at the video.]

Yu's gone?

He's really gone?

[She doesn't want to believe it but she doesn't think that this kid, who can't even figure out how to take care of a cat, would be lying. Something in her brain doesn't connect and she finds herself feeling very numb.

Yu is so stupid, to leave now... why would he do that? And not say goodbye.]

I have experience with cats.

[ Akira frowns then. ] We should talk then... about Yu-kun being gone.

[ aka: meet in person. ]

[He's not sure who this is but anyone that care about Yu, he's going to try to be there for.]

Yeah... I'm sorry.

[Really, he's right there with her on the thought of him going without saying goodbye. He should try to follow, somehow, but he has Felix to look after. And Yu left his glasses, if he came back, he'd probably want them back.]

I went to check on him and Felix was just a wreck.

[Oh, Akira. You're his hero.]

I'll do anything to get your help. I got scolded by Yu a few times for spoiling Felix with tuna.

[Ah. Right.] Yeah, we should. Do you know a good place?

[ Let him TELL YOU ABOUT MORGANA. ]

Each cat has their own personality. Like people.

[ It sounds like I'll need to get to know Felix... ]

Hmm. Somewhere with just the two of us?

[She didn't know Yu to miss him. But she can at least help with the rest - she's no expert but she can share a little feline perspective if nothing else.]

Honestly? Cats tend to be pretty self-sufficient too. As long as they have access to everything they need, they can take care of most of the rest.

Felix definitely seems kind of willful.

[He's still learning about this particular cat.]

Hm, the library has plenty of space? I can't think of many places that it'd be just us two. I have a bed in the communal spaces.

[He may have to look into a private place though with Felix.]

Um... I think I have everything? A little box, food dishes, a crate for vet visits and everything. A collar.

[He picks up one of those sticks with a feather hanging from it, which Felix promptly leaps at.] This thing.

Cats are pretty easy.

[Ed didn't really know Yu well enough to mourn the loss, but he knows how it is losing people, especially losing people who don't even say goodbye.]

I'm sorry about Yu, he was a good guy.

[Interesting username. He won't comment though since his was commented on similarly.]

I never really had pets. Koro-chan was kind of a special case.

[He appreciates the sentiment, at least.]

He was- is. He is. I'm glad I got to see him again. I just wish I was able to give him a proper goodbye,

Special case?

[After the talking cat he met several months ago, and the talking ponies he used to know he's not dismissing anything anymore.]

That doesn't happen often around here, but when you say again I guess that means you're from the same world.

[It's a question, although he doesn't word it like one.]

Yu and I were roommates briefly. We kind of fell out of touch after I moved out of the communal building.

[Willa feels her anger and frustration flare, hiding the sadness that she doesn't want to share with a complete stranger.]

[She bites the inside of her cheek.]

And he just left everything behind?

They're very self sufficient. Is it an indoor-outdoor cat?

[ For once, she's at the head of an innocent conversation. ]

Koro-chan is like Yu and I. He can summon a Persona even though he's a dog.

[It's weird but there it is.]

We are, yeah.

I'm sorry you guys lost touch. Yu is a good guy, he isn't the type to purposely brush people off, I think.

I wouldn't lie about something like that.

[Yeah, he can understand.

He raises his hand, showing a pair of glasses before Felix nudges his hand.]

Pretty much. I found his glasses.

Indoor, as far as I can tell. He's snuck outside once, I think, but that was it.

[He appreciates that.]

His glasses?

[She presses her thumb and forefinger against the bridge of her nose.]

Question, would he go anywhere without his glasses? I thought going through the portal was a voluntary thing, you're making it sound like kidnapping.

[ Hrm... the library might be a little too easy to be overheard. ]

We need somewhere that people can't easily overhear us. But somewhere that there's people so we don't stand out...

[ He tilts his head as he thinks. ]

Parks?

If you have not taken care of a cat before, why did you keep it? Why not find someone else to take it?

Ah, well, he will be missed.

[ And he can't help the slight smile. ]

I didn't know Yu had a cat named Felix.

I don't think so.

[Not that Yu really needed them here but he isn't sure yet.] Nobody could have forced Yu through the portal, I've seen him fight. It might be... it was his only shot and he had to take it.

[He thinks for a moment and then Akira is suggesting one. And Makoto just nods slowly.]

Park could be good. We can wander around more easily then so no one will catch much if anything.

[Well]

He belonged to Yu. And he knows me. Besides, that's kind of like telling someone not to have a pet just because they never had one before.

[He doesn't mean to be abrasive. Really.]

[Oh, Makoto doesn't recognize this guy. Maybe he should make more of an effort to be sociable.]

Yeah, he found Felix not long after he got here. Quite a name to live up to, huh?

[ He nods. ]

Let's meet there.

Bring Felix-kun with you. [ Let the boy who is as clever as a cat help with the cat. ]
