( neither is she, so no disappointment there. but knowing the avengers, working with tony stark — it means he's a little more likely than the average supersuited vigilante to know the mechanisms behind the scenes. he's more likely to be familiar with the organizations, as it happens, that tie the avengers and skye together. it also gives her some hope that maybe, just maybe, they might be from the same sort of world. maybe even the same one.

before she replies, though, skye makes absolutely certain that her transmission is as encrypted as she can possibly make it. this is not the type to be lax on internet security protocols. )

I'm with SHIELD. Or I was, at home. Here, I think I'm the only one, so it's kinda hush-hush. But SHIELD, we — well, we work with the Avengers? Technically speaking. Or, I mean, technically, I guess we don't exist anymore, but... ( she shrugs. it's #complicated. ) Basically, I'm not a bad guy, is my point.
