[ Good whatever-fucking-time-it-is-now Riverview! You are being graced with the not-so-rare sight of one Tony Stark after spending too much time in the perimeter defence office throwing himself into work and, if you are to go by the state of his hair and the few smudges of grease on his face, perhaps throwing himself into some of the machinery that can be seen strewn about the place. (It really doesn't look any better from the last time you saw it, Riverview, still a chaotic mess).
With a twitch of his mouth, Tony settles his chin on his folded hands and peers into the feed, eyebrow cocked in a way that made him look equal parts insane and amused.]
So, I have been digging into some random things that I have been able to get my hands on as of late and, overall I have to say I am very impressed with the tech in this place. I mean, sure interdimensional portal and all that, but have you seen some of their basic routeing systems? Well, beyond the shitty ones that like to die and not work and--
[ Shit, wait. There was a reason he was doing this, right.
Tony blinks a few times, shakes his head, and continues.]
Point is, there is a lot I can dig into, lots of things that I can make, but only if I have the parts. So, here's the deal; whoever can bring me scraps of machines and computers, tech that seems mostly useless, please do. In return, I will be more than willing to work with, well, anyone that wants something that is a little harder to come by here.
[ Pushing back, Tony leans back in the chair he is sitting in and runs his hands through his hair.]
While I did say I was out of the weapons manufacturing back home, I can make exceptions here, so if there is something you want in particular, let me know. Within reason, of course.
[ There is a flash of a grin as he leans back in, a quick wink, before the feed cuts out. ]

Yeah, well- [He hesitates for a moment, but it's safe enough to admit on a private channel.] I was out looking for Bucky. Guy's not real crazy about people in general, can't exactly try to look for him with a group. Or at all, most of the time.

[ the information about Bucky though has Tony sobering a little, he hums.] I assume you mean your Barnes, I met him once. Well, met is a bit off I think. Was more like he ran into me and then started a fight. [ Tony pauses, rubs his hand over his face a little.] He hasn't been out from under the thumb of the Soviets for long though, give him time. Bucky was never-- he wasn't the best then.

Yeah, that's what your Bucky keeps telling me. I just- I worry about him. I wouldn't say we're friends, exactly, but I feel like I should keep an eye on him, for Steve's sake. And, well, I just spent two goddamn years searching for him, there's a sort of weird responsibility that comes along with that.
[Of course Sam is the only person who doesn't know that Steve knows that Bucky's there, but minor details.]

[ at least Tony looks incredibly amused. you keep flirting there Sam, he is enjoying it.]
...it's good that there are people that are there for him though. Just-- it will take a while. He was near-feral when I met him and, having been on the receiving end of the fury that is James Barnes, it's best not to push him. Until he is being an absolute ass, then going a few rounds actually works, but maybe wait on that one.

Yeah, no, from his point in the timeline, last time we met, he ripped the steering wheel out of my car while I was driving it. Trust me, I'm not even gonna poke that with a stick. I'll leave that shit to super-soldiers and dumbasses with armor. He barely knows who he is - only thing that's keeping me safe is that he knows I'm Steve's friend, and Steve would be disappointed if he killed me.

[ don't give him that. wow. rood.
there is a wince because, yeah, he remembers Bucky from those times, hell he remembers Bucky for years after those times, and-- not an easy person to deal with.]
That sounds like Bucky. He tried to kill me after-- well after some shit, and the only thing that stopped him was reminding him how pissed Steve would be if his best friends murdered each other. He is the only one who can truly wrangle Steve Rogers, and vice versa.

[Sam listens to what Tony has to say thoughtfully. It sounds a bit like current events, except-]
You just tried to kill him in our timeline. [Although he's not going to mention why at the moment.] I wasn't there, but from what I hear, the whole thing wasn't very pretty.
[Hence the Avengers divorce.]
