I haven't found any correlation myself. Even if there was one, it would be impossible to say if that was actually the "reason" that we were brought here, right? So it's mostly been a thing to think about idly.
I was brought here directly from that spaceship, if that helps at all. As for how it was, there were some unsolved murders, the ship had lost power for some time, leaving us without gravity or oxygen, and the tension between everyone was beginning to be too much.
