[ Good evening, Quarantine! Widowmaker's voice sounds calm and smoothly dispassionate as usual, and as French as ever, as she makes apparently a brief announcement: ]

If anyone plans to be in the area, there was a small breach of the outer fence near the zoo of the abandoned city. They are little things, nothing a few well placed headshots will not take care of — but quick. A few may have escaped my attentions.

[ She doesn't sound very pleased about that. Her night is definitely gonna be tracking down whatever monster she's referring that slipped in over the fence.

After a brief pause, she continues. ]

There is also the matter of Kane — Jacob Kane. A man with incredibly poor timing, it seems. He —

—is fine. Jacob’s… fine.

[ Don’t believe it. He sounds pained. There's another pause, longer this time, before Widowmaker's voice continues. ]

...Medical attention would be appreciated. I can send coordinates.

Really… really, I’ll be—

[ Whatever it is he'll be gets cut off as the broadcast ends. ]

[ Widowmaker snaps off the recording and turns to face Cain fully, who is looking considerably more alive than she expected him to. With an eyebrow cocked: ]

Less ordinary than anticipated, it seems.

[ Ah, yes. The woman with the spider on her back. He feels a gut-deep wariness about her, an involuntary reaction born of his upbringing, but hey--he wants to get past that kind of thing. Best to confront it wherever he can. ]

I've got potions and arrows, if you still need either one.

[ Yeah, the bleeding is slowing already and he's just sitting with a pretty faint look on his face. The healing isn't kicking in quite yet but he really isn't dead yet, so. ]

Yeah... I'll walk it off soon. Monster breech?

[ There's some fumbling and potentially a very quiet c'mon from Widowmaker's side of things before another user shows up in this conversation. He doesn't sound good yet, but he doesn't sound dead, either. ]

Don't worry about it. I really will be fine.

[ It's idly confirmed; she's busy staring at him. She knows exactly how deadly a shot from the Widow's Kiss is, and he'd taken it to the chest. No vital organs, maybe, but he should absolutely be down for the count. She takes a few steps nearer. ]

I was handling it. Perhaps a little less obliviousness would suit you, monsieur.

[distort]

Potions. [ She could almost laugh. ] Of the healing variety?

Unless you want me to poison him.

[She's worried, of course she is, but she isn't about to show it. Man's immortal for a reason.]

[ Yeah, well... welcome to Cain. He glances up when she comes closer, brows knit but trying his level best to not give in to the pain or let his breathing hitch. It's practiced, not as hard as it could be. ]

Guess I started tuning out loud noises for the festival. Ought to work on that.

Non, monsieur, I think we will manage without your kind offer. [ how ridiculous, potions. clearly only healing syringes fired out of a gun will do. ] But if you feel like making the trek here, I suppose an arrow or two would not go amiss.

He has such concerned, devoted friends.

[ Her slow approach stops when she drops to a crouch a foot or so away from him, for closer examination. Her eyes pass over his face entirely, far more interested in gauging the damage. ]

Is this a healing factor?

[ Seeing that, he grimaces but lowers his arm to show the wound. It's about as bad as she might expect from her own weapon, but the blood already seems... less than it should be. ]

Yeah, something like that. It'll start healing up soon.

[And Dodger is not convinced or happy at all.]

Prove it. Show me what happened, I'll make my own judgement call.

[distort]

[ Huh. Well, that's useful information. Her eyes finally find his for a few thoughtful moments, then drop away at the faint sound of a message from the network. Her expression immediately darkens to see who it is, and she half turns away for a very, very brief exchange.

Glancing over at him again: ]

Dodger would like to know your location. [ The displeasure is obvious. But it's also a question-- should she tell him? ]

[ There's some light laughter at that, light as he can make it to avoid jostling himself too much. ]

Oh, you've met him. Hold on. [ He starts to move, holding his breath except for a brief c'mon while he gets out his own phone. Some kind of dumb Stark contraption that's way too cool for a guy like him tbh. ]
