[audio - open - un: @search.rescue.344] BACKDATED to the morning of the 25th

[ Natasha's voice is calm. Calmer than it has any right to be, perhaps. She is still incredibly shaken, but wallowing in it isn't going to make anything better. Besides, if she has a project, something to focus on, then she can't turn her scrutiny in on herself. ]

By now, I’m sure everyone has heard of the fire that started in the Residential Building at approximately two in the morning on the 23rd. I want to assure everyone that a full investigation is being launched to determine the cause of this fire and to hopefully prevent one like it in the future.

The investigative team is working very closely with the Riverview Fire Department, and we are asking all citizens who were in or around the building during the event to please leave their information here, and to arrange a time to give a statement at their earliest convenience. Whatever you remember, however small it may seem, it could prove useful. We are also asking for any footage of the fire anyone might have shot on their phones.

[ She doesn’t like the idea that someone might have seen what was happening, and decided it would make a good video opportunity, but she’s well aware that people do that sort of thing all the tie. She can’t even be angry about it, as it may prove very useful in this case. ]

I would just like to assure everyone that our only interest in those who filmed the event is in obtaining copies of the footage. If you are concerned, you may drop the footage off anonymously on a data card which can be picked up at the Perimeter Guard headquarters, no questions asked. Footage may also be sent as an attachment to this username, or you may come to the Perimeter Guard headquarters to have the video lifted directly from your device.

I know that we are all shaken in the wake of this horrible catastrophe, but together, we can take steps to make sure that it does not happen again.
