[Damian stares down his ...social worker... as she speaks. The woman explains the room, his bi-weekly stipend, the works. Still, Damian stares her down with a burning intensity that just screams 'I am displeased. Go. away. No mask, no Robin gear, just a pissed off teenager in a hoodie.

Clearing her throat nervously, she does leave and that's why Damian takes in his room. It didn't matter what the room looked like really, Damian wasn't having this communal living nonsense. He sees the extra beds in the room and ...that is just too many roommates. This is was 24-hour surveillance and he was not having that.

He frowns down at the device and switches it on. Have an annoyed looking ... 10-year-old? (No, he's 13 dammit, don't just assume things from his small stature!) glaring down at the camera.]

This communal living thing is not happening. What's the price range for houses or private apartments around here?

[ Jon stares a little before realizing what's going on. Damian doesn't remember Riverview. And while that stings, especially in light of the promise Damian made him, having him here is still better than nothing. ]

Uhm, I've been here since March. You were here a while back but you left.

[Damian frowns at Jon's next words. 'Didn't remember...?' The idea of a chunk of memory just missing does more than unsettle him. This needed further explanation, but this wasn't the place for it.]

Jon, I'm headed outside... come find me. [He says, hoping the boy still remembers the sound of his heartbeat, because who knew how long he'd been away.]

[ Jon doesn't waste time speeding through Riverview before skidding to a halt as his eyes scan for Damian's heartbeat. Jon brightens when he catches sight of him. ]

Damian!

Jon?

[He was used to Jon being excited so he wasn't too surprised by the boy's outburst.

How long had he been gone again? Oh, whatever. He waves the boy over, because, Jon. He told you to come find him. That meant getting your butt all the way over here.]

[ Jon immediately runs up to him, throwing his arms around Damian, SUCK IT UP you're getting a Super Hug. ]

[Wait--What?! WHAT IS HAPPENING?! Damian lets out an undignified yelp at being grabbed and yanked up.

His cheek presses to the other boy's and he goes limp, side-eyeing the alien with a sulky look on his face.]

This... is highly unnecessary Kent.

[supersweet]

Shuddup.

[ Jon squeezes tighter. ]

I really missed you.

[Damian's expression of annoyance falls a bit at the confession.]

How long was I gone...? [It was still unsettling to think he was here and forgot, but, Jon of all people wouldn't lie to him. The boy was practically incapable of it. He lets out a sigh and just leans on the boy as he's hugged. It's not like he could fight, right?

And supers were annoyingly good huggers...]

Like . . . a month or so.

[ And in that time, Jon basically spent most of his days in his room. Moping. Sulking. A variation of both. He only recently started to come out again, trying to infuse his life with some certainty. ]

But it's cool that you're here now?

[ He even relaxes his hug a little. ]

[A month? Was Jon here all alone in that time? That's not good. For all his power, Jon was still a child and Damian knew how much it could hurt to feel totally alone. Forgotten by his Father and abandoned by family. It was a pain that never really went away.

His feet touch the ground again, but he's still pretty close to Jon. Their noses bump when Damian turns his head, but he cups Jon's face in his hands once his arms are free to make the boy look at him.

Are you looking Jon? Because this is very important!]

Yes, I'm here and I'm moving in with you. This communal living is horrendous. Is it just you at your house? [Who is taking care of you Kent...]

Oh, my parents aren't here. They went back a while ago. So it's me and Dick, your older brother.

[ That is how it is, right? Bat-relations are complicated and Jon has stopped trying to puzzle them out. He adjusts his glasses, still beaming at Damian. ]

I'm sure it's fine if you move in.

[Did people just up and leave often around here? He was about to ask but then Jon mentioned Grayson.]

Grayson's here? [He lets Jon go so he can adjust. The brother comment doesn't bother him so much since well, Grayson had taken to calling himself that, with or without Damian's consent. It's coo' Damian was fine with it.]

Tt, course it is. [And if Grayson was there too, then there is no way he isn't going.] Anyone else from our world here?

Yeah, uh, Jason's here. And the Flash.

[ Jon ticks them off. ]

And Wonder Woman. But not like, our Wonder Woman? She doesn't know who I am.

[ So Jon is running with the assumption that she wouldn't know Damian either. Alternate worlds! ]

We have superheroes from other worlds but I dunno them that well. They're like. The Avengings or something.

Different you say? I suppose with a portal pulling from multiple sources, there would be some overflow from the multiverse. [Damian concludes from Jon's description of Wonder Woman. His experience with the multiverse was still pretty new, but he knew because of it there was more than one Kid Flash.

He also notes that Jon hasn't mentioned his Father being here. While that was a little disappointing it was still preferable to an alternative that didn't know him at all like Wonder Woman. There was also no mention of Drake...so that was a plus! Not that Todd is one of his favorite people either but he was still less infuriating than Drake.]

Avengings? [He would say the title is a little on the nose, but well, Batman, Superman, Justice league-- Point is he didn't have much room to judge.]
