It was 1879, July, in the hot, arid desert of California. Nestled within was a small town of homesteaders, Rose Creek. The people were honest and hard-working for the most part, just trying to live off the land. However, one man took notice of the gold that lay hidden beneath the very earth the town stood on. After being threatened to leave by this mining tycoon, the people decided to seek help from whoever was willing to take the job yet capable of fighting.

Eventually, they were able to round up seven men.
