[ when the feed clicks on, there is a somewhat annoyed and tired looking face staring into the void. his hair is a mess and, despite being located in a bed in the communal housing area, he looks like he hasn't been friends with sleep for at least half a decade if those dark circles under his eyes are to be believed. at least he bothers to open his eyes when he addresses the network, voice rough and with a distinct southern drawl.

So I get that there's a jungle and a whole lotta forest out there along with shit that no one really wanted to delve into detail about but, anyone know if there's a swamp? Maybe a marshy area? Fuck, even a squishy patch of moss an' shit would be nice. Ain't gonna be much use if I can't find one of those.

[ a huff, Sage rolls over on the bed, feed tilting until its looking down on him laying in the bed, mint hair splayed everywhere. ]

Also for those that might know, how the fuck does magic work here? Like-- I get there are 'things' beyond the walls and all but-- what about werewolves? Other witches? How do you cast a fucking circle here? Also, where the fuck do I get the strongest whiskey?

[ Sage doesn't doubt that going out beyond the wall is interesting. freeing, as he puts it. but that isn't what he focuses on, of course.]

Mmmhmm. Swamp magic is about as glorious as it sounds, but -- [a shrug] I like it. It's got fewer rules and more power than a lot of other magics. Though I have no idea if the swamp needs to be natural or... not.

[ seriously, what kind of place doesn't have a natural occurring swamp? Sage has never come across this issue before okay. ]

Though I suppose I will find out, gonna see if I can use my magic without a swamp at all but-- eh that might be a disaster. Might not want to be near civilization when I try that too.

[ his magic before he tied it to the swamp was pretty volatile, there is a chance that it might revert back to that without a swamp to help tame it.

What exactly can you do with it? [ Aeacinos is kind of interested because it's so...weird sounding. ]

If it is that dangerous then trying beyond the wall is for the best. There is nothing out there aside from the abandoned city to damage at any rate.

It is inconvenient, yes. I do not like the fact that I cannot use my ice magic or illusion magic together for that long. [ But Aeacinos at least has his brute strength and skill to make up for it. ]

Uh, not really sure what you mean by that. But I mean, the usual? Cast spells, imbue charms, create circles, potions, wards. [ a pause ] I've been told my hexes and curses are of a nastier variety than most, maybe that's a swamp thing.

[ or just a Sage thing, there is a lot of anger in there.]

Fuck, I mean, maybe I can like... get a feel for jungle magic or something, I dunno. Or make a fucking swamp somehow. [ couldn't be too hard could it? ] Whoa, illusion magic?

[ His tail flicks curiously behind him as he listens with rapt attention. Magic like that in his work is left for the seers and such to handle. He's never really had much dabbling in it before but he knows it's nasty and powerful magic. ]

I am able to bend the light around me to make my outward appearance different. It is linked directly to my water I suppose. But it is a different class of magic as well. It is quite useful for sneaking up and attacking enemies by surprise.
