[When Freya appears on the screen she has her usual friendly smile but also bright red hair. Her fingers run through the silky strands a few times before she remembers that she's already turned on her device.]

Hi! For those who don't know, I'm Freya and today if Pi Day! [She's a total nerd and loves this holiday.] If you don't know what Pi Day is, ask Victor. It has to do with circles and math.

You know what else is a circle? Pie.

On the topic of pie, I would like some for Pi Day but I can't bake to save my life and I don't know where the best pie in Quarantine is. So I need your help! Hit me up and we can all celebrate Pi Day together. Any pie is good. I'm not picky. Except I can't eat anything with chocolate in it. There's a whole deathly allergic thing.

[A beat.]

I also dyed my hair red.

[In case it went unnoticed.]

[She flashes him a bright grin.]

And you make me happy so that works out. I'll see you in a bit.

[Freya waves a hand and then turns off the feed. She quickly grabs her backpack and heads out to Minsu's place of work. She remains human, which is slower, but she can wear shoes the whole way and doesn't have to worry about carrying a backpack as a wolf. When she arrives she has the fake wolf ears back on her head and a light smile tugging across her lips. She spots Minsu and skips over to him.]

Hey! Where is this special seat? I also can't decide which pie I want so I was going to order a slice of both.

[foxtrots]

[minsu watches for her, both hands lifting to wave at her through the glass when he spots her.]

Right here! [he leans over the counter, giving it one more dusting with his cloth.] Ahhh, I'm really glad to hear you say that.

[minsu turns away for a moment, a grin on his lips when he faces her again, a plate of pie in each hand.]

I was afraid one of these might go to waste.

[luckyescape]

[Freya's smile widens when he produces not one but two pies.]

A man after my own heart. [She places a hand over her chest as she steps over to grab the two plates of pie.] I think you can read my mind or something.

[At least when it comes to pie and sweets.]

How's working here treating you?

[foxtrots]

Your heart's worth more than me.

[he's not even trying to flatter, it's just...how he feels.]

It's ok, I like it. I'm good at it and I like people. What about your work?

[luckyescape]

I don't know about that.

[Freya does not consider herself a good person. She's a coward.]

Mine? I work as an engineer at Prometheus. I'm currently working on a robot who's main function will be cleaning up the city of trash and composting it.

I'm all for saving the planet and stuff. Even this one.

[foxtrots]

That sounds like a lot of work.

[an important job, though all jobs are important in minsu's opinion. they're just different. he places the pie in front of her, and starts working on a coffee as well.]

I met a few of my kind in Japan...well, they weren't exactly like me. More like cousins. But that sort of thing was really important to them too. Do you like you coffee sweet too?

Not really. The job description is easy and as long as I have an out put, they let me more or less do what I want. [She takes both of the pies through she starts nibbling at the cherry pie first. She likes apple more so she wants to save it for last.] Your kind? I never actually asked what that was. Want to trade info? I really hate what Hollywood did to other species, it's just sad. [She hates Hollywood werewolves.] Oh. Yeah. I actually like coffee all ways. Plus the smell of it is heavenly. Mostly because it drowns out other smells.

[foxtrots]

I haven't watched a lot of those movies.

[he leans across the counter, thinking of the couple of older dramas that he's heard about that have gumiho in them. he's always been squeamish to watch, fearing the worst.]

I never thought of coffee that way either...

[she's right. minsu always liked the smell because someone he likes lives off of the stuff, but it does cover up other scents so well. he draws in a breath to speak, hesitant as he looks at her for a moment. but minsu won't lie, and maybe this place is a little more lenient about these things.]

Fox. Gumiho, but maybe someday I'll be human.

[luckyescape]

Good. They're awful.

[Worst movies ever! Though Freya does actually like watching Wolfman because it's funny and very campy.]

Neat. Wolf, which I'm sure you've noticed but I am not human and have no wish to be.

[She looks up at him.]

Why do you want to be human? Why not just be you?

[foxtrots]

[that just makes minsu even more curious about them. he wants to be able to say that he's seen awful movies too!

minsu had guessed that she was, though there could be all kinds of different variations of things here. she confirms it for him now.]

Humans are great though, don't you think? [though that doesn't really explain the need to be one. minsu wipes at some non-existent spot on the counter before sighing.] My kind, the sort of foxes that we are, we're not usually very nice. I've done bad things too. [an understatement, but minsu's afraid and ashamed. he shrugs his shoulders.] If the legend's true and I can become human, maybe I'll like myself a little more.

[luckyescape]

[Freya picks at her pie while a thoughtful expression pulls over her features.]

Yes and no. I think people are really interesting and they have the potential to be great but they can't listen to their instincts and they do stupid or cruel things. [This is something that she's spent a lot of time thinking about.] I don't think that what you are defines who you are. It's a part of you but only you get to define who you are.

[She looks up at Minsu with a small smile.]

Become human if you want but you should learn to like yourself before you do that. Being human isn't going to make you like yourself anymore. It's a decision that you make. And I know I sound a little bit like a Disney movie but you have to admit that they have a point.

I am a wolf. Technically I am a were-human but semantics. I like myself plenty fine and I've met a lot of dickish wolves.

[foxtrots]

Ah...it's true, they don't.

[minsu's never thought about it before, but now that he does, humans seem as likely to do the opposite of their instincts. weird.]

I wonder why that is.

[he leans against the counter, listening. he's spent so long believing that he will like himself better as a human, that he'll be better as a human that it's hard to reject anything to the contrary. but her advice still soothes something in him.]

You're my first werewolf friend. [minsu smiles at her before suddenly...lifting up his shirt. he points to a circular scar at the top of his ribs. the faded marks of teeth.] The last one I met gave me this. It's the only thing I can't get rid of.

[Freya lifts her shoulders in a shrug.] I do not know. Trust me, I've tried to figure it out. [She has a lot of free time to think of these things.] You're my first fox friend. [Freya wrinkles her nose at the bite.] Eww, that sucks. Mmm, not sure I can help you get rid of that but I promise I won't bite you. Unless it's like friendly biting, I will do that but it won't leave a mark because that's rude. [Freya hopes that Minsu is able to like himself. He's pretty cool, at least what she knows about him. Plus he has been dubbed the bringer of pie.]
