Ah, this might be a strange question.

[has that ever stopped him before? nope. but the fact that he acknowledges that such a thing is even possible counts for something.]

I was curious about tattoos, and if you have them, why you got them. I know some people like pretty things on their skin, and I think that's fine. Your body's the only thing that's really yours, right?

[though minsu's been through his share of those as a shape-shifter, he's finally settled on one that has meaning to him. too much so to cast aside.]

But does anyone have one that's really meaningful to you? Like something you really wanted to make a part of you forever.

I have something like that now, and I thought I'd look for a place that does them after work.

What are the birthday traditions on your home planets?

[ jyn hasn't celebrated a birthday in something like... fifteen years so to say she's out of practice would be a gross understatement. she tells herself this is cultural anthropology, her mother would be proud. TIME TO LEARN, time to attempt to live like a normal human being... ]

[ The video starts out at an odd angle. The ceiling of community house is the first thing that people see when it clicks on. Immediately after, a dark blotch covers up the camera feed.

Sniff, sniff, snuffle.
]

Dude, stop, you huge ham- [ sounds Rose, fingers curling over the rolling film. Everything jostles for a moment, the world a blur, and then it re-focuses on Rose's face. She's laying on the floor, sheen of cold sweat on her face and circles under her eyes darker than usual. She can't say that she's never been sick before since that's, y'know. Not normal. So instead, she settles for- ]

Haven't felt this awful in a while. [ It's not a lie, not really. Somewhere in the background, electronica beats are playing just loud enough to be caught. The next one that rolls catches her attention, the blond casting a sidelong gaze off camera. It's an interesting one. Oddly apt. ]

I hope there is, in fact, a rave in my grave if I die. I feel like I'm dying? Does anyone else feel like death? This blows.

[ A pause. A tiny chocolate lab scrambles into view, kicking his little back paws to try and climb onto Rose's stomach where she lays. He's chewing at her shirt, too, but she doesn't seem to mind much. ]

I also really want pizza? Whis is, like, the opposite of what I should want? Tell me your possibly weird sick food cravings, guys. Do you have any? Or what do you do when sick to feel better? Let's get those home remedies rolling.

[ Something, anything, to distract her from how awful she feels currently. ]

flowers are pretty but i always notice the way that they smell more than anything. i've heard that some people have this thing called allergies that makes them less enjoyable. maybe i wouldn't like them much then either, because your nose gets all stuff and food doesn't have much taste if you can't smell it.

other things that i like the smell of: grilled meat. even if it's not spiced, it still smells good. fresh cut herbs, because it brings back good memories. coffee, even if i don't think i'll ever like the taste of it. snow - someone once told me that snow doesn't really smell like anything but it does. oh, and babies. babies always smell good, except when they need a diaper change.

what's your favorite smell? is it something just from home or have you found it here too? or maybe there's one that you don't like. those scented candles never really smell like what they say on the jar to me.

and skunks really stink, but i think most people would agree on that.

hey, everyone

I'm thinking of going outside the walls for a bit of a look around. Anyone interested in going out? Fair warning, it could get hairy, as we don't always know what to expect out there. I'm trained in combat, could always do with good navigators, maybe someone who knows a bit more about the lay of the land, too, but everyone's welcome to join.

I know I'm not the only one wondering about what's out there.

And, completely unrelated... I just moved out of the communal housing and would like to build some furniture for our new place. Simple stuff - shelves, to start with - but I don't have much experience in this. Anyone willing to lend a hand?
Alternatively, if you have any old stuff you'd like to get rid of, I might be interested.

[ apparently the star wars kids don't know how to hold onto their devices quite well. but unlike rey, paige drops her device and it turns on once it hits the ground. the camera is crooked but you can see her come in and out of frame, wearing her rebel-issued blue cobalt squadron jumpsuit, soaked to the bone.

she isn't pacing or running, she's dancing. or rather, twirling in the rain. one hand clutches something hanging around her neck, a necklace as she simply laughs and spins in the rain, free arm spread out.

eventually, her smile fades into something more solemn, sad and she sort of just... plops onto the ground, her expression turning pained. her hand tightens its grip on her necklace.

she's not crying now. it's just raining on her face. and as the video finally times out, she buries her face in her hands.]

[ Roxy hasn't been here long, but she's been busy. Almost since the moment she got here she's been looking up anything she could find about her people, the Jinn, or anything even close to them. There are some interesting leads, and her favorite by far is the funny pattern in the stories of wishes always seeming to come in threes.

Why three? Why not two or four? She could grant twenty if she wanted, or none if she didn't like them. It being so arbitrary is kind of cute, though. So she decides to go with it. ]

If you could have three wishes right now, what would they be?

[ This sits as-is on the network for a few minutes before an addendum is tacked on: ]

They have to be small things!

[When Freya appears on the screen she has her usual friendly smile but also bright red hair. Her fingers run through the silky strands a few times before she remembers that she's already turned on her device.]

Hi! For those who don't know, I'm Freya and today if Pi Day! [She's a total nerd and loves this holiday.] If you don't know what Pi Day is, ask Victor. It has to do with circles and math.

You know what else is a circle? Pie.

On the topic of pie, I would like some for Pi Day but I can't bake to save my life and I don't know where the best pie in Quarantine is. So I need your help! Hit me up and we can all celebrate Pi Day together. Any pie is good. I'm not picky. Except I can't eat anything with chocolate in it. There's a whole deathly allergic thing.

[A beat.]

I also dyed my hair red.

[In case it went unnoticed.]

[Pierce doesn't normally make announcements, except when it comes to internal company memos and the like. He keeps things strictly business most of the time, but he is making this addition to the network from his communal housing room. He looks grave and upset, but he is clearly wanting those who might wish to know the information that he has obtained.]

To anyone who knew and was friends with Miss Ava Orlova, I regret to have you inform you all that she has returned back through the portal. While we had only begun to build a relationship, she was the closest person to having one of my daughters back, and I will miss her.

[He sighs heavily and folds his hands together, managing a grief-stricken smile.]

If anyone has any stories of her exploits, I would very much value hearing about them.

[Maybe Freya is bored and testing strange things at her new job with Prometheus... and who says a mechanical engineer can't have hobbies outside of her field and use work resources to test said hobbies.]

Interesting Fact:

Dry air is primarily made up of nitrogen (78.09%) and oxygen (20.95%). The remaining 1% is made up of argon (0.93%), carbon dioxide (0.039% ) and other trace gases (0.003%). Water vapor (water in its gaseous state) is also present in the atmosphere in varying amounts, by up to 2%.

This is my Earth as of 2010.

So here is my question; What is the air in quarantine made of?

[About ten minutes later another text goes out.]

Maybe someone, not me, should try and figure this out. On the plus side, I found out that exploding things at my new job is not grounds for being fired! I also started a new project that I have named Prometheus.

He will be a robot that helps clean up the streets with a cute friendly tune. You'll see prototypes on the streets in about a month. If you see him, please fill out one of the surveys that are on his back and insert them into his mouth. If you hurt him, I will find you.

He's going to be like Wall-e so if you hurt him I consider you a monster of epic douche-baggery.
