hey, everyone

I'm thinking of going outside the walls for a bit of a look around. Anyone interested in going out? Fair warning, it could get hairy, as we don't always know what to expect out there. I'm trained in combat, could always do with good navigators, maybe someone who knows a bit more about the lay of the land, too, but everyone's welcome to join.

I know I'm not the only one wondering about what's out there.



And, completely unrelated... I just moved out of the communal housing and would like to build some furniture for our new place. Simple stuff - shelves, to start with - but I don't have much experience in this. Anyone willing to lend a hand?
Alternatively, if you have any old stuff you'd like to get rid of, I might be interested.

Yo, I'm a carpenter! I'm a little bit of a newbie but I make a pretty decent set of shelves. And I was actually kind of thinking about starting a business, so this is perfect!

Also, I love a good exploration. I'm pretty proficient in animal handling in case there are any big guys out there—and I know there are. Because I've been out there.

Exploration? Count me in. I can't promise navigation but I got the senses to figure out when trouble's coming at least. And the claws to take care of it if it does.

excellent. We can definitely use a few people with sharp senses, from what I can gather of what the outside's like.

Did you have a destination in mind? The surveyors' department at the Perimeter Guard has some maps that are up to date, to a point; I try to keep my current working map on file there. Some areas are still pretty unexplored but if all you want is to get a feel for things out there, it's best to go somewhere that's been mapped out already.

I was planning on having a look at some of the current rebuilding projects going on once I had more of an idea of numbers and skillsets we'd have. I'd imagine there's some maps available, but always good to have someone who's been out and about coming along, though.

Is there a lot that hasn't been mapped out yet?

I can help with either of those. I'm with the surveyors so map making beyond the wall is part of the job.

I also specialize in repairs and can make just about anything from scratch.

you do woodworking? I'd like to give the apartment a little bit of warmth, it's pretty industrial looking right now. So wooden shelves, and a bar top as well. Maybe a folding table. But shelves come first.

I don't have much experience with furniture either, but if you're going out past the walls... Well, I sort of live out there. So I wouldn't mind playing guide, if you want someone that knows the area.

There anything particular you're looking for? I might be able to give you some pointers.

No really anything in particular, no. Just want to know what it looks like, what to expect, what we can try and find, out here, outside of the different projects going on with the new buildings that have been recently powered

it's not so much a hunting party than an exploration party. just taking a look a what's out there, beyond the wall. but anyone wanting to come is welcome to.

it's not about picking anyone
everyone's welcome to come along, i just think it's probably better to go along in a group than alone

a sound system would be great, actually. there's not that much space that we'd need anything fancy, and i don't think it's our first priority, but it'd be nice to be able to play music from something else than computer speakers

I'm in. I have not been out before, though. I am good with a gun. I've been wanting to go out, but understood going alone wasn't the best idea.

i've been told guns are not very effective against whatever's out there, but i'm sure it could still come in handy.

It's a bit dangerous to go alone but with your powers I doubt you'd have much trouble either way.

I didn't ever expect to be going alone. Even with my powers, I wouldn't risk it. If you need the distraction, as well, please do come along! At this point a lot of people are interested, and I think we could have two teams going into different directions, try to map out new areas. Might be good if you were in my group.
