WARNING DO NOT BUY USED FURNITURE OFF THE NETWORK!! Some of the sellers here are VERY unscrupulous! I am now the proud owner of:

- 1 cursed endtable (IT KEEPS INSULTING MY MOTHER WHEN I'M TRYING TO SLEEP??)

- 1 set of drawers that was housing a colony of space termites

- 1 mattress that is stained with either blood or cranberry juice or chocolate i'm not sure which. maybe all 3? now i have to sleep on a futon like i'm 19 yrs old again and it's KILLING my back

Anyway is anyone in the market for some gently used furniture?

[ jk jk he's not a big enough to dick to unload this NIGHTMARE FURNITURE onto anybody else. ]

[ While he's done some exploring, there's one thing he can't seem to find and the annoyance in his voice is a bit clear. ]

Are there no Christian churches here?

[ Catholic would be preferable but one thing at a time. ]

[She has never been ill before in this form. Oh she has been stabbed, chained and condemned, but never infected. Her eyes are dark - sullen - and she is reclining in bed.]

They call this a plague and I believe them. [Truth be told, she might have endured multiple plagues as a human. Shouldn't she have some immunity to them now?

Her appearance is not as bad as it could be, but she is looking gloomy and disheveled. She also doesn't seem to give a damn about giving a good presentation.]

Humans are incredible. They seem so fragile, but they endure. I hope you don't forget that you have the strength it takes to overcome. Plagues have never wiped out the entirety of humanity.

[Alexiel stretches onto her back, her head haloed by her dark curls.]

Bubonic, small pox, measles, typhus, syphilis, viral hemorrhagic fever... You survived them all. This one can hardly compare. [Even if she is feeling miserable too. She turns her head away stubbornly, arrogant in the face of the disease.]

Hey everyone! I don't post on here super often, but I've been laid up for a week now and I'm going a little crazy. Total cabin fever.

I used to see forums like this on the internet back home, and I thought it might be kind of fun here too, so I thought I'd give it a try, because reading those forums was always a lot of fun.

So, Crowd-Sourced Relationship Advice!

I turned on anonymous posting on here, so you can make a fake username and submit a description of a problem that you're having in your relationships, either romantic or at work or whatever, and other anonymous people can give you advice!

Or you can stay logged in on your real account. Up to you!

[ A small, but genuinely-looking grin spreads across his face for a few moments as he greets the camera. But, his expression quickly drops into something serious, as if he has a real question to ask. Something important on his mind. ]

So I've been here a month and have learned a few interesting things.

[ He pulls out a notepad, and very pointedly puts it on his desk in front of him. There's scribbles, not legible to anyone watching, and maybe not anyone but him. He very pointedly made them for himself. ]

Most notably, that my world is rare in that when the apocalypse happened, humankind lost and were decimated. This leads me to a very curious question.

[ He picks up a pen, prepared to write. ]

For those of you who are from a world that managed to stop or dodge the apocalypse - Can you share how you did it, or how others did it - if you are aware? I'm curious to see how others managed it.

[ He taps his pen on the desk. ]

If you're not from a world with an apocalypse problem, tell me something interesting and unique about the world you come from. Whether it is a bit of history, the geography, languages, whatever it is that you're comfortable sharing.

Congratulations, I am now sealed within a miracle.
Of course, my congratulations go to the ones capable of such a thing.
Witches should be able to summon and control gods, not the other way around.
So bravo. My heartfelt feelings of applause go out to you, divine captors.
I’ve been truly shamed.

With that out of the way, may I pose a riddle to the rest of your captured?

I am a baldfaced liar, tinged with reddened shame.
You’ll never know me for who I am, for that is just my name.
Astutely bold, encased in gold, I am the one to blame.

I hail the northeast seas as home, but I have not forgotten,
The Swiss mountains I was born, from a time long dead and rotten.
If you’re lost, I’m sitting on the tip of your tongue, it’s…
Who am I?

For who solves it… I will return something that I have taken in this City that everyone needs.
Good luck.

[ ooc; Though I’d love for you to OOCly give it a try, if your character is smart enough to figure it out, PM me ahead of time and I’ll give the answer. I have no intention of giving a riddle too hard to solve when characters ICly can! ]

[The audio turns on to the sound of silence for the first few seconds before Lucy asks her question.]

If you could have one wish, what would you wish for? Not like...money or anything. Not for powers, but what would you really wish for?

[Because it's her birthday, and she wasn't really in the mood to celebrate. Of course, she'll wish for her family to be okay, for them to remember and come here so they could meet Victor. But...would that be a waste of a wish? Sure, wishes were powerful, but she was in another world, and she didn't think they would be strong enough to pull her family from one realm to the next...

Or, maybe she's just over thinking things. Maybe she just wants to talk and not think about her birthday.]

[ooc: Lucy's birthday is on April 8th, so here's her birthday post! She won't say it's her birthday, not yet anyway. Either way, this post can double as action too. So have fun!]

hey, everyone

I'm thinking of going outside the walls for a bit of a look around. Anyone interested in going out? Fair warning, it could get hairy, as we don't always know what to expect out there. I'm trained in combat, could always do with good navigators, maybe someone who knows a bit more about the lay of the land, too, but everyone's welcome to join.

I know I'm not the only one wondering about what's out there.

And, completely unrelated... I just moved out of the communal housing and would like to build some furniture for our new place. Simple stuff - shelves, to start with - but I don't have much experience in this. Anyone willing to lend a hand?
Alternatively, if you have any old stuff you'd like to get rid of, I might be interested.

[ Roxy hasn't been here long, but she's been busy. Almost since the moment she got here she's been looking up anything she could find about her people, the Jinn, or anything even close to them. There are some interesting leads, and her favorite by far is the funny pattern in the stories of wishes always seeming to come in threes.

Why three? Why not two or four? She could grant twenty if she wanted, or none if she didn't like them. It being so arbitrary is kind of cute, though. So she decides to go with it. ]

If you could have three wishes right now, what would they be?

[ This sits as-is on the network for a few minutes before an addendum is tacked on: ]

They have to be small things!

{ Vincent is taking a brisk walk - exercise is good for the mind and body, you know - looking less like the dapper British gent than usual. Modernity is creeping up on him and he is just the sort to embrace it, bit by bit. }

It really is a shame servants can't be employed here - or am I wrong? Is it more a question of price? I can understand wanting to be well-compensated. I always thought I was an easy Master -

{ Ha ha ha. No. }

There is nothing wrong with living an exciting life. { What are you even trying to say, Vincent. } I don't think I've ever lived so peacefully or so...independently. I'm afraid it's going to my head.

[ He turns on the video immediately and smiles a bit into the camera. The smile, at the very least, appears to be sincere. Maybe. The room is quiet, he's in a private room. ]

So - I just arrived here, and while the orientation was very helpful, I have questions of my own, and personal experience from those who arrived in a similar manner to myself might be the best ones to give me that.

First, I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Ryo Asuka and I'm the newest Professor at the University, and I teach archaeology.

[ He does seem to be quite young, more like - he should be a student, not a professor. ]

I've worked on a few archaeological sites, and I'd like to hear about some of the more fascinating locations beyond the wall. I'd like to personally go, but I wonder if it would be too dangerous to go alone.

[ Not that danger seems to bother him, but he'd like to hear others evaluations of how dangerous it is. ]

I still think I may want to go, but I am curious if it is worth the risk. It is hard to resist temptation.

[ There's the briefest hint of amusement when he says that. Props his elbow up on the table and leans into his hand, smile still present. ]

Oh - tell me, if you've gone out there, what is the most dangerous creature you've encountered.
