I find myself surprised again and again how different this world is from my home, and my time. Mother and my aunt worked hard to teach me how to be a proper lady and behave within society. There was so much etiquette and so many rules to learn...

[ Victorian England wasn't exactly progressive, after all. ]

So many of the rules I was raised with don't seem to apply here. Ways to dress, ways to eat, even ways to speak with people... In truth, it's made me quite curious.

Do you feel as if you live by different rules here than at home? That what is normal here, such as ways to dress or present oneself, would be considered abnormal in your world?

Thank you very much for your time!

[Elizabeth was at home when she caught the video, reading a book that she was now keeping in place with her finger. She could almost find something charming about the girl, or perhaps she's just reminded of her younger sister Kitty.]

I know some of the informalities within this world would turn heads back home. For dress, my sisters and I wear trousers if we need to risk going into the Inbetween, or to spare in, but not to the same casualness now. Even then, we usually wear a frock coat or tunic gown.

To be truthful, I do not mind the informalities. It all feels more relaxed and genuine this way.

I remember living a life akin to your own. [A stuffy existence with big, heavy dresses and tight corsets.] Consider yourself free of the constraints. I know it can be difficult to adjust, but you sound strong.
