[Hello Riverview, you're going to be greeted by the friendliest face you'll ever see on the network this morning. A pale, stylized skull mask and a voice that belongs to some edgy supervillian from some futuristic videogame or something. Dressed in all black and yes--he does seem to be leaking black smoke when he speaks. It's normal, probably.]

Far from home, in a place you don't recognise. Seems like a dream, or at least some sort of really bad joke, doesn't it.

[His tone is calm, dry--almost sarcastic in nature.]

It's not. And you're going to have to get used to it. It's nice here too, isn't it? What with all the flowers and the festivities. [Yeah, definitely sarcastic.] Hoping that's enough to keep those of you who might get bored on your toes.

There's shit normal people don't need to see outside the walls of this Quarantine. So do me a favour, and don't be stupid in going to investigate what lies out there on your own because you seek adventure.
Because if you seek that alone, you also seek Death.

Name's Reaper. Not interested in making friends, but for those of you who are capable, I'm interested in looking for people. People who are capable of working in groups to pull some of the harder jobs that involve getting your hands and weapons dirty--and people who are capable of following orders.

Not a stranger of pulling idiots out of a fire, but I'm not a goddamn babysitter, either.

[Have a teen with a strange accent and even stranger looking eyes. He seems to be looking at Reaper as if he's taking in his measure.]

It seems like you have your shit together. I can appreciate that. What sort of harder jobs are we talking about?

[He's always eager to use his weapons.]

[This guy looks young, but be him the last person to judge someone's strength based on their appearance. His response is respectful enough, too--which means Reaper will only respond in kind. Thank god there's more than just jokers around here.]

Monster hunting. Big game, not the belly-sliding creatures that try to sneak past the perimeter guard on regular.

Something to cut the boredom here without having to babysit teammates that come along.

Now there's an idea I can get behind.

[Though he's on the Perimeter Guard, which does help quench some of that desire to kill things that always crops up inside him, Ivar lives to prove himself in challenges like this.]

You don't have to worry about me. I can take care of myself.

[... He just won't mention the wheelchair and being unable to walk right now. Not that it matters much in the end. Ivar is competent enough to do anything he sets his mind to. He just can't stand pity.]

[He works with enough people who have cybernetic enhancements due to disabilities related to missing limbs or things like that--he might not have too much to say about the other being unable to walk. If the guy can handle himself despite having little to no use of his legs, Reaper's not going to pitch any sort of fits.]

Good, then. I'll keep you posted when something comes up.

For reference, weaponry. What sort of skills do you possess?

[He'd have no worries there. Ivar was just as vicious and capable as any other Viking. He'd worked twice as hard to become as good a warrior as he is.]

I can use, let's see--[He ticks them off on his fingers.] --a throwing ax, swords, knives, and bow and arrows.

[Archaic probably by Reaper's standards, but Ivar had found they still worked well here in Riverview. Monsters responded just as well to an ax blade in the cranium just as much as they would something like a gun.]

[Iron age technology. He could understand it. If he were new to the whole 'different dimension, different world, different technology' bit, he might be annoyed. But he's learnt enough from being out in space for months now that judging a sword-user or knife-thrower by their weapons is a bad idea.

So, he nods, thoughtfully.]

The weapons you're used to are considered pre-modern where I'm from. But there's modern-day advances to old weapons like that. Making your skills still valid, but giving you more durability with whatever the hell it is you're handling.

[Genji's swords and his brothers' futuristic bow and quiver set are what immediately come to mind.]

[Ivar sits up a little bit straighter. He hasn't really thought too much about upgrading his weapons since he got here. He is aware of the advanced tech that's out there, yet until he actually understands it more, he's a little bit wary on how to use it.]

I've got a roommate who's giving me some upgrades. But I'll always consider anything else that will help me be the best.

[Ivar had a burning streak inside of him that pushed him to be not just good, but to be better than those around him.]
