[Hello Riverview, you're going to be greeted by the friendliest face you'll ever see on the network this morning. A pale, stylized skull mask and a voice that belongs to some edgy supervillian from some futuristic videogame or something. Dressed in all black and yes--he does seem to be leaking black smoke when he speaks. It's normal, probably.]
Far from home, in a place you don't recognise. Seems like a dream, or at least some sort of really bad joke, doesn't it.
[His tone is calm, dry--almost sarcastic in nature.]
It's not. And you're going to have to get used to it. It's nice here too, isn't it? What with all the flowers and the festivities. [Yeah, definitely sarcastic.] Hoping that's enough to keep those of you who might get bored on your toes.
There's shit normal people don't need to see outside the walls of this Quarantine. So do me a favour, and don't be stupid in going to investigate what lies out there on your own because you seek adventure.
Because if you seek that alone, you also seek Death.
Name's Reaper. Not interested in making friends, but for those of you who are capable, I'm interested in looking for people. People who are capable of working in groups to pull some of the harder jobs that involve getting your hands and weapons dirty--and people who are capable of following orders.
Not a stranger of pulling idiots out of a fire, but I'm not a goddamn babysitter, either.
[Friendly, isn't he.]

Yeah.
I'll keep you in mind.
Even if swords are outdated weaponry where I come from, you handle yourself well enough.
lmao
You realize I can still throw it, right?
oh my god
.......
I'd be concerned if you couldn't throw it with arms like those.
But that's not the point here.

Your point is that I should be using guns.

It's more damage-efficient to use a long-rage weapon with modern enhancements than it is to run in heavy-handed with a sword.
I used to work with a man who used a sword, and he was extremely efficient with it. However, he was a Cyborg, and the danger was reduced due to his having a far more resilient body than most.

What the hell is a Cyborg?
no subject
A human that's been enhanced with cybernetic enhancements.
...
Robot parts.
A human that has robot parts.
no subject
I think I prefer the real thing. Cyborgs are just empty shells aren't they?
no subject
No.
They're not. Cyborgs still have a human mind and emotions.
Even Omnics, fully automated robots aren't 'just empty shells'.
AI in my world have evolved enough to have a sense of self.
A 'soul'.

EDITS
Explain Omnics for me, will you? And AI isn't an acronym I'm familiar with.
Re: EDITS
AI stands for Artificial Intelligence. Machines that have become self-aware and possess the ability to think for themselves and make their own logic-based decisions.
Omnics are machines built in Omniums where I'm from. Omniums being automated robotics factories that were built with self-improving software algorithms which eventually, too, became self-aware.
Omnics are endowed with the capacity for free will and, by many, are seen as people with just as much emotion and self-worth as any human has. Like I said.
Robots with a soul.

Is that what you are then? Some kind of Cyborg?
no subject
Sorry, Gladio--even this shit doesn't make sense to him.]
Who knows.
What happened to me is a mystery. Even I don't fucking get it, despite having thousands of tests done and having had hundreds of doctors trying to figure out what makes my cells do what they do.
My body is kept alive by billions of tiny machines that self-replicate and die at an equal speed. Constantly burning off and rebuilding a body that should just finish dying, only to come to life again.
Not exactly your 'traditional' idea of a cyborg, what with 70% of its body replaced with cybernetic body parts.
