Nanotechnology shouldn't be messed with. Whoever let them out of their cage is an idiot. Whoever programmed them to be self-replicating is an even bigger moron.

Easiest way to wipe out nanotechnology before they can self-replicate is to overcharge them. Make them burn themselves out before they can replicate again.
