[Tony doesn't often choose to use the video function preferring text for his network communication. But what he needed to say was better served this way. He wears make-up for the bags under his eyes and to hide the gauntness, but it doesn't completely hide the fact the long term effects of his illness. However he does his best to appear completely at ease and most people wouldn't notice a thing.]

I've noticed something regarding the recent disease outbreak. It's not of biological origin, it's caused by nanites. I believe it targets the central nervous system so that's how those of you who are theoretically immune to sickness might be feeling a little under the weather anyway.

I can't tell you how it spreads due to the method in collecting this data, nor can I pinpoint the source without devoting more resources than I currently have to it. I've also discovered they're self-replicating so it's only a matter of time before my own efforts to hold it at bay fail. This does suggest that there's a magical component to it as well.

Old man, I've taken the liberty of uploading everything I've found so far to you and you'll continue to receive updates for as long as I'm able. Yeah, you can say I'm uniquely qualified. I lived in a town full of magic for years, and I'm a scientist. I've discovered the two are pretty damn powerful together.

You can shield things from an EMP and I'm hesitant on detonating something on the scale required to stop them all considering the number of people who may be reliant on technology to stay alive.

[He's shielded his nanites long ago and he doesn't need them to live, but anyone in the hospital is definitely at risk without a carefully prepared backup.]

I'm unfamiliar with magical terminology, how would dispelling work?

If an item or whatever has a spell on it, someone who's more powerful can remove that magic, so like if there's a spell weaved into the nanites, I could maybe get rid of it

DO you know how many people are infected?

[She's been tracking those who have publicly mentioned being sick and is trying to use a basic viral algorithm to help her track down the source.

The most obvious source to check is the water supply but more people would have been affected and over a less spotty area. It could be food but it'd have to be a specific type of food and Shuri isn't sure if she can narrow it down. Otherwise it could be an area that's continuing to affect people who pass through it.

I've been trying to pin point the source but I don't have enough data.

I've been terribly selfish and was focused more on my own health. The hospital could give you a better idea.

[Tony has been using his own nanites to combat the foreign invaders and which does take up a considerable amount of his attention.]

I can transfer my own nanite fleet through direct contact with my body fluids if you needed somewhere to start. This is likely programmed to work independently, but they might use the same idea. I don't think there's enough people affected for it to be through the water or food supply.
