[ The video opens to a view of a simple sign in the quarantine’s common language, a dark green background causing the white lettering of “The Coffee Shop” to really pop alongside a graphic of what appears to be some kind of mermaid or siren. Why does this feel like copyright infringement. ]
It’s my understanding that there aren’t many places like this here. [ So comes the voice from behind the camera, view panning to the right and left to showcase the street he’s on and make it clear just where this particular shop is. Only then does he move forward, the small store’s bell jangling as he steps into what can only be described as an immaculate café, the specials written neatly on a chalkboard in Japanese characters on the counter, booths and tables lining the walls, and plants placed stalwartly in the windows like leafy guardians. ]
So it should receive more business. Now that you’re aware, consider spending your extra money here. [ As he finally turns that camera around, revealing a dour young dark-haired man in all his glory. ]
If you need more information, I suppose it can’t be helped. I’ll address concerns.

[ Feel free to stop in! Expect a quiet one-armed man behind the counter cleaning an already spotless work station in his down time. ]

[ If there's one thing a cop aiming to move back up to investigator always and surely needs - it's coffee. Thankfully for Sasuke her requests are probably going to always be willfully simple, if only because she's a creature of habit who isn't incredibly fond of too much sugar, still.
She sweeps in rather quietly, looking down at a hologram notebook to her volume of Derrida she's currently reading. It's s way to keep people from trying to chat with her, at least, before she's had her coffee, but once she reaches the counter - ]
Black iced coffee, please. [ Well at least she used the word please. ]

House blend, then? [ Asking is likely unnecessary but if he's going to do this job then he might as well do it carefully and correctly. ]

If that's the best black coffee you have - Actually.. [ She pauses, seems to debate with herself for a moment if she needed this level of caffeine or not. It wasn't as though she was pulling an all nighter or anything. But, then again... she might. Exploring and all of that. ]
What about cold brew? Do you do that?
[ Screw it - caffeine always. ]

He doesn't drink it, he hasn't studied it, and it isn't popular in his world. However, Sasuke is an obsessive individual and a quick learner, so he's already memorized the menu in great detail along with all preparatory techniques. An encyclopedic knowledge of coffee will come with time. ]
We do. Is that what you'd prefer?

[ Coffee hadn't really been in Re-L's repertoire of normal drinks until recently - the Eluvio, to be exact. Sleeping was not something she'd done a lot of. Too much had been going on, too many threats too close by to feel comfortable with sitting still for too long in one place. She'd gotten enough to get by, sure, but coffee had filled in the gaps.
And now.. well.. one may say it had become part of her routine. Daedalus would probably scold her, but... oh well. ]
Yes, actually. I think something cold may benefit me more at the moment.. No cream or sugar, though.

[ So maybe he's a bit too honest, all things considered, as he offers up this little tidbit while beginning to total up her order. ]
Size?

That would explain why it always tasted strange - I thought it was maybe just that my home world used something different for sweetener.. [ or that they just.. didn't use sweetener. Many things in this world and the Eluvio had tasted almost too sweet, to her when she'd tried them. The bar drinks on Bajikan? A prime example. ]
Let's do a large.. not enough sleep last night to do anything less..

Were you at that bar again? [ This is just his automatic assumption, though if she's not interested in having that conversation he's perfectly content to return to badmouthing sweet things. ]
