So is there anyone around who's a bit more up on Pokemon than I am? I was told they evolved as a method of growth, but I was unaware it was such a... sudden thing. One minute Wong was normal size, the next he's, well-

[The camera is turned, showing Wong, who is no longer the Lillipup that folk might remember but a Herdier. He's also three times his previous size, as seen by the fact that sitting up he was barely fitting on the small pillow-style dog bed just visible.]

Also, anyone who knows how to get him to stop doing this would be appreciated. [The camera pans lower to show that the dog bed was in fact upside down, having been pushed off the nearby sofa onto Sirius. The black lab hasn't moved even with bed and other dog on him, a long-suffering look sent Stephens way, as well as a slow thump of his tail.

He'd move but he's had enough of Wong's bamboozling for one day, thanks.]

They sound like lower level demons or angels. [She has no trouble with either scenario. In her universe, it is the upper class demons and angels you have to worry about - though she is technically part of the latter group.] He looks like a fine friend to me. His size could be a natural phenomena for him. I would not want him to harm himself in adapting to another's standards.

In some ways yes. Some are more like faeries though, or elemental spirits. Others are more like your typical ghosts and hauntings. A rather wide variety, at least from what I've seen of them.

Wasn't expecting evolution to be something so fast, but a friend who knows a bit more assured me that was normal. Wong's a good boy though, he's just nervous about the new pup in town I think. Worried he's getting replaced instead of figuring out that he's just got a new buddy.

There are angels that control the elements and others that could seem like faeries to the untrained eye. I think you have convinced me to investigate these Pokémon further.

[She and her brother were made to stand at the top of the totem pole. Yet both of them have a keen interest in the lowest of beings. Any that show promise, they have a tendency of helping or even adopting. Alexiel would be content with a Pokémon of her own.]

Give him attention, but not too much. He needs to understand that all of this is normal; nothing has changed except that there is more of him to love.

I've got a pretty trained eye when it comes to separating the varieties, but that's a fair point. There's shops around that have more information on them too, stuff to feed them, pokeballs and the like.

He'll learn. He's pretty stubborn, but he's also damn smart, I've got faith he'll get it.

A hobby will do me good. [It's better than sitting by her window and wondering about the past, present and future between her shifts. Or striking out on her own into a dangerous area so that she can fight to clear her mind. Even she knows that's rather rash and stupid.]

Can never go wrong with a good hobby. And you're welcome to come around to meet him, though now might not be the best time to come, unless you've already had that illness that's been going around, as I seem to have come down with it myself.

[Guess who hates admitting that? This asshole. But he's not enough of one to infect someone else, so better say it now.]

I've had it and I may still be battling it. [But her body heals rapidly even with the nanites trying to break it down.] You needn't worry about infecting me.

[A pause as she considers.] Can I bring you anything? It isn't easy getting around when you feel so poor.

[She nods and gives a small smile.]

[Well that was that then. He just nodded briefly at the reassurance, a wry smile on his face at the offer she made.]

I wouldn't say no to some tea, if you're of a mind to make a stop. I'm in the Sanctum Sanctorum, it's a rather singular building, hard to miss. [Especially with the ridiculous saturation of magic. But he'll still send her an address either way.]

Wong will certainly be happy for visitors.

[Her fellow angels would laugh if they thought of her picking up or even drinking tea. But she understands the comfort of a hot mug of chamomile or lavender tea, so it's their loss, really.]

I'll find my way with the tea. [She needs to stretch her wings anyway. Being cooped up sick isn't good on the muscles.]

Is he feeling alright? This...sickness...can't cross species like that, can it?

[Tea is excellent, so it's entirely their loss.]

I haven't seen any signs of it, and with all the animals in this place, I certainly would have noticed. It's gone through most of the residents now so there's been ample chances and no symptoms from any of the pets or the mice.

[So what if a blood-soaked, six-winged angel enjoys it? That's fine.]

That's comforting. I wouldn't want to watch them suffer. [Not that she likes watching people suffer, but at least people know more of what is happening to them.] Give me ten minutes.

[Alexiel makes good on her word, arriving with a canister of tea. Her wings are unfurled, three on each side, giving her a rather impressive appearance. But she curls them closer to her body as she enters the building.]
