[ Hello Riverview! Today the feed opens with... the close-up of a face covering the whole visual. Wide, round, and unsettling eyes, with a potato nose and a smiling mouth that looks so enormous it takes up half of the screen and, if you pay close attention, you might be able to see the bottom of his throat.

Jyushimatsu is not aware that he's way too close to the camera. He never had a cellphone back home and never bothered with technology in general. It doesn't help that it seems he can't keep the device steady as his image is shaky at best and completely blurry at worst. It might hurt your eyes, so don't stare too much.

But anyway! Onto the more important things! ]

I came here a few weeks ago and I work as a mascot for the Riverview Rams! It's a baseball team! You should root for them!

But I'm using this thing now because I wanna do something super fun with you guys after the bad things that happened last month! Have you heard about softball? I didn't, until a cool guy told me about it a while ago! It's like baseball, but it's smaller and the balls are bigger!

[ He's also terribly bad at providing explanations. And the screen is gradually getting soaked in his spit. ]

SO!!! How about we just have a match? We form two teams and beat each other up with softball! Sounds great, right?

Eeeeh? What sort of crazy though? I'm hoping it's not always like those kidnappings! I'm still a newbie here, you see, I got here just last month!

Well, last month there was the whole kidnapping cultists thing, and the month before that there was the virus that a woman made which combined magic and technology so that she could remind people here that they were supposed to be mourning the dead and what not.

You mean, a forced angst plot? It sounds like the woman had good intentions but the way she went about it... wow! Akatsuka-sensei wouldn't do that to us!

Yeah, it was pretty bad. About half of the people here got sick, and then ended up in a coma for various amounts of time.

That's definitely bad! [ Even he goes YIKES at that. ] I heard one of my brothers mentioning it vaguely, but I thought it wasn't that serious! Was the woman arrested for what she did?

[11calls]

She was. I found her through my investigation, and the cops picked her up. She's being held now and I'm not at all sure what's happening, but I'm keeping an ear out to find out.

Haha, that's good! Justice prevails, and all that stuff! Thank you for keeping the streets clear of those criminals!

[ Ignoring that there are probably many more mingling around... ]

[It's still a little weird to hear that.]

Nope, I'm an investigative reporter. But I worked with a police officer, Peter Grant on the case. And of course my partner, Dr. Strand.

I have no idea who these people are!

But they must be good at their job if you cracked the case with their help!

They are, actually. Both of them. I couldn't have done it without them.

Awesome! Work together like a baseball team and defeat the criminals one by one!

[ He had to stick baseball in there somehow. ]

I'm sure there will be. I don't know about other people here, but I am extremely competitive when it comes to things like this.

I'm sure you'll do totally fine as long as you've got that competitive flare in you! Any team you get in will be super lucky to have you around!
