1st Solo ♫ un:Kumokumo
[It's been a few days since she arrived and she's been taking her time, observing things and people, getting to know the lay of the land. Of course, she's taken part of a few festivities, singing a bit here and there to get a feel for what the people both native and not like.
Now, she's ready to sort of promote herself in the way that Walküre did all the time. She knows that prints, pictures, magazine spreads, PVs and other things will have to come soon enough. Her agent suggested as much earlier. However, she can do more than that.
When her device's camera comes on, the idol's face is set into the sexiest smile she can manage without being a total vamp and she waves enthusiastically.]
Hello, Riverview! I have to say, that this party is quite the welcome. Parades, parties, and other things, just for me!
[She gives a low, soft laugh.]
For those that missed my few performances during the week, my name is Mikumo Guynemer. I used to be part of a popular group back home, but I suppose now it's time for my solo career to start. I'm looking forward to being on my own for the first time since joining the business!
Please look out for my next gig!
[She blows a kiss before winking and running up to the device until it's just her face in the screen.]
OH! If you know an up and coming clothing designer, send them my way.

[It doesn't even have to be her real personality. It just has to sell.]
I just love to sing. It's what I live for.

You dedicate everything in your life to your fans? And craft your own personality to suit it? [Yeah, that gets a raised brow and a mild look of concern.] That... doesn't sound the least bit unhealthy to you?
no subject
Of course and in return, your fans support you and keep you in business. And it's really not that much of a change to craft a persona for them. If you give some of yourself in the creation process, it's easier to maintain after all.
[And when you don't know that much about yourself, it's easy to give a personality of mystery.]
As for the health of things... I get to help others and sing at the same time. That's all I care about. It's healthier than being used against my friends and companions.

Do you ever give yourself a break from it? Despite how easy it may or may not be to maintain, I still declare it sounds absolutely exhausting. But what do you mean by getting to help others?
no subject
[Honestly, there's absolutely no reason to think of why she should.]
It can be a little exhausting, certainly, but it's not as if I have a camera shoved in my face all of the time. I get some personal time as well.
[Which she uses.... questionably.]
As for helping others, my singing and those in my group serve to cure those affected by a disease called Var. It makes the sufferer unable to do anything but follow the base instinct of rage and can turn parent against child, friend against friend. But our singing helps reverse the disease and prolonged live exposure can help them build up an immunity to Vars.
[Hey, Hawke, music is the newest weapon. Get on it.]
no subject
Oh of course not. Silly me. How could I have possibly suggested such a ridiculous thing? How ever will you forgive me?
[And with what she considers an effective amount of sarcasm, she moves on.
To something really fucking weird.]
...er...
[Fuck the what?] You sing and... that cures people of a disease? So songs must carry some kind of magic. Certainly an interesting method of delivering it.

I am not someone who has no life outside of their profession. I just take my job seriously. I know...knew someone like that. I don't want to end up like him.
[Of course, he also had Vars, which she will never have, but that's a different story for a different time.]
My singing, and that of the others in my broup back home, sends out biofolds that counteracts the Vars and makes the sufferers revert back to normal. We're not the first to discover this. For nearly fifty years, that's been standard delivery. Walküre is merely the best.

Half of that didn't make sense to me but you know what, I'll take your word for it.

[Mikumo smiles pleasantly.]
Besides, I get to do what I love the most.

What a perfect little arrangement you've made for yourself. But now you have to start all over here. A rather daunting task.
no subject
No, it's a challenge, but not impossible. [Her pleasant smile grows more satisfied.] Besides, playing it easy doesn't sit well with me.
