[ Good whatever-fucking-time-it-is-now Riverview! You are being graced with the not-so-rare sight of one Tony Stark after spending too much time in the perimeter defence office throwing himself into work and, if you are to go by the state of his hair and the few smudges of grease on his face, perhaps throwing himself into some of the machinery that can be seen strewn about the place. (It really doesn't look any better from the last time you saw it, Riverview, still a chaotic mess).

With a twitch of his mouth, Tony settles his chin on his folded hands and peers into the feed, eyebrow cocked in a way that made him look equal parts insane and amused.]

So, I have been digging into some random things that I have been able to get my hands on as of late and, overall I have to say I am very impressed with the tech in this place. I mean, sure interdimensional portal and all that, but have you seen some of their basic routeing systems? Well, beyond the shitty ones that like to die and not work and--

[ Shit, wait. There was a reason he was doing this, right.

Tony blinks a few times, shakes his head, and continues.]

Point is, there is a lot I can dig into, lots of things that I can make, but only if I have the parts. So, here's the deal; whoever can bring me scraps of machines and computers, tech that seems mostly useless, please do. In return, I will be more than willing to work with, well, anyone that wants something that is a little harder to come by here.

[ Pushing back, Tony leans back in the chair he is sitting in and runs his hands through his hair.]

While I did say I was out of the weapons manufacturing back home, I can make exceptions here, so if there is something you want in particular, let me know. Within reason, of course.

[ There is a flash of a grin as he leans back in, a quick wink, before the feed cuts out. ]

I could have the mice look around, see what bits of scraps and pieces of things they could find?

[They're surprisingly useful, she's finding, and eager to help and please her. If she gives them a task no doubt it will make their little hearts beat three times as large knowing they're serving her.]

[ is he laughing at the mental image of tiny, Cinderella-esque mice running around with one Bucky Barnes's arm held over their heads? maybe, maybe he is.]

That would be useful, the might be able to find some interesting things too with their size.

[ while part of him wants to ask about that username, he knows better than to indulge that streak of curiosity. he doesn't want to hear the answers he is sure.

so instead, Tony just blinks back, one eyebrow up.]

Um, should I make you a really cool Turkish espresso roaster?

[ look, it's like a gift ~~horse~~! ]

I need you to help with a new carrying harness for Redwing. Give me a couple weeks, and you can poke at these all you want.

[Sam arranges the camera so Tony can see his back in a mirror, then triggers his wings; a metal framework slides out of his back and what looks like translucent red wings flare to life.]

That was my thought as well. Their size makes them perfect for discovering small parts that most of us would overlook, I think, or find things in places we can't get into.[She pauses a beat, and then adds slyly.] They could help you sort through what you find also, if you'd like. They're quite helpful in that regard.

[Babysit the mice for her sometime?]

[ just ask, tony. ]

Will you teach me how to use it afterward?

I don't need weapons or anything made for me, but I'll keep an eye out for stuff for you. I mean, weapons for people who actually need them can only be a good thing, right?

[ excuse you, did you cheat on him?! what is this? Tony peers closer, clearly on board with this.]

Well aren't those fancy, and new. I feel like those are really new and not what you came here with, someone's been good.

[ Billy, darling, we need to have words about your enduring optimism. there is a snort of a laugh from Tony as he leans on his hand.]

Here is to hoping that it is yes. But yeah, hell you see things that you want to be turned into a fucking next gen console, that will work. This place is giving me an opportunity to get back to my roots I think. Well, the ones that aren't covered in blood, of course.

[it's okay baby, he can explain.]

Is it that obvious?

[His tone is dry, because duh.]

Still trying to get the hang of them - luckily I got Wanda around to spot me. But I'm not giving up the jetpack just yet. I just need a way to carry Redwing when I do.

[ who does that? ]

Of course. You will have the best espresso in this universe by the time I am done!

[ he has no idea how to make this thing he is claiming, but he is sure as fuck gonna try to figure it out. ]

[ that makes him pause, one eyebrow going up at her tone.]

Why, Miss Maximoff, are you trying to get me to mouse sit? I mean, if they are more helpful than some of my older bots, they are more than welcome.

[ as long as you let him play with the new tech, he will forgive you. possibly not even blame you, he isn't up for injecting shit into other people most of the time. himself is a whole other story. ]

They integrated into the neural pathways and everything? Musculature? Damn, I am going to have to go talk to some surgeons here, that is impressive. But we can work on that, might use you as eyes of course then. See if there are bigger things to be hauled in.

Would I do that, Tony?

[Look at her expression, Tony. Isn't she so sweet and innocent and entirely without ulterior motive?]

If it's something along the lines of sort or untangling things they'll be very helpful, and I'll tell them they've earned cupcakes for their efforts. You'll have to set very clear rules with them regarding behavior in your workshop.

[Or the little buggers will get excited and run rampant and might use other things they find to accessorize with.]

Mmhm. They mostly work like the old wings, 'cause like hell I'm flappin' everywhere. But it's all wired up to my brain and nervous system, from what I've been told.

And sure, you can use both of us. Redwing can check out the places where I'd probably get turned into monster dinner.

[ normal people? even nico, lord of the dead, knows that. ]

Cool. Sounds awesome. [ beat. ] You're not a son of Hephaestus, are you?

Let's talk moral boundaries. How much do you care where the scrap comes from, and what the end product's used for?

[At least he's upfront.]

[Hey, it's just-- magical power house. That tends to keep him safe enough, and others for that matter.

Well, usually, anyway.]

... Wait. You'll do game consoles too? [Hey, the nerdy part of him will never die.] Are you having fun with it? As much as you can here, anyway.

[ as much as she wanted another Iggy made to help her out here in Riverview, there's also a stunning awareness in her mind that he would have to be absolutely the same. Without anything, even the hippocampus files to make the autoreiv as she'd had him in Romdeau, if only more mouthy, there wouldn't be much point.

With the amount of different people around here you could be making more.police work, offering things like this.

You're making exceptions?

[There's a little bit of doubt, and perhaps concern in Steve's voice. He personally has never really minded Tony's contracts, being military himself, but he knows how Tony has felt. And with the recent festival incident, that's another rule almost broken. It's enough to get his attention.]

You're not going to turn the floor into a scrapyard, are you, Tony?

[ yeah, the tone of Tony's voice? not pleased at all. ]

I care, a lot. I am not making weapons for the sake of offence or assault, enough people have been hurt or killed because of what I have made. More so defensive ideas for those that don't have combat experience or a host of powered up friends to help them out. Perhaps 'weapons' was the wrong term.

[ there is a hum as Tony leans back in, one hand in his hair and head cocked. ]

You with the police force then? Might be good to get an idea of what you guys can do on a smaller scale. And, uh, I don't plan on making anything more than defensive based ideas. Sheilds, stunning implements, things personalised to what people are comfortable with. No guns, no explosives. I kinda work on a no-kill idea.

[ most of the time. there are darker times in his past but let's not go there. ]

Relax, I'm just asking. I can do all the damage I need to without a weapon, and I'm saving my energy for monster-hunting.

[Though, he mights a note of Tony's wording. And wonders if that regret's deep enough to be called a weak point.]

I'm in the market for a noise suppressor. Falls more into the 'non-offensive accessory' category anyway.

and who're you when you're home, strange mysterious man who wants military-grade scrap and tech for potentially nefarious purposes?

[Honestly, she doesn't really give a shit what someone wants to do with their time unless they're actively working towards blowing everyone else up, but that is a damn shady rejoinder and he deserves to be dragged for it, tbqh.]
