But, in all seriousness... that's a harder question than I'd think it would be to answer. I keep... finding things being done that I wouldn't have forgiven before, and yet... they're not as unforgivable as I thought. For better or worse.

Either I'm growing as a person, or I'm becoming a horrific monster, take your pick of reasons.

How do you know they're not as unforgivable.

All I know is my take. It takes awhile sometimes. Anger makes everything seem unforgivable, it's what you do once that anger has passed that makes the difference I think. It doesn't mean you forget what's been done, or pretend it never happened, but it does mean you can move past it in some way.

That seems like a shallow take to make someone feel better about themselves.

Yeah, most of the time talking about forgiveness tends to come across Hallmark as hell. The tell's in the moment. I can say it all I want now while I don't wanna rip someone's face off for some way they've wronged me, but the test is when that happens.

For me anyways. It's easy to talk about what you might or might not feel about something after all. But in the heat of the moment, you might find your thoughts on things have changed.

Does the moment matter? Some things outlast emotions and sentiment.
