[The video opens on Zelda sitting in her office at Gramarye. She smiles once the video begins, a little subdued.]

Hello. I hope everyone's faring better after the events of a couple of months ago.

[She considers saying more, only to shake her head slightly. Best to let terrible memories lie. Besides, that's not the point of this broadcast.]

This is going to sound like a strange question, I'm sure. But I was wondering if anyone had advice on what sort of things are useful to buy when moving into a new home? I'm looking at apartments at the moment... they have furniture in them, but I'm not sure what else usually goes into a living space, especially here in Riverview.

[There are just a lot of gadgets that seem useful. And fascinating. But how many of them are practical? That's the real question. After a moment, Zelda has to smother an awkward laugh.]

It's probably obvious that I haven't done this before. [She looks down for a moment before holding up a magazine, folded open to a page advertising a dehumidifier.] And... I’m interested in how these work, but how necessary are they? How humid can a home really be?

[She nods along, itching to take notes but not really able to without being rude.]

Some of those appliances I know you can also use elsewhere. Like those 'washing machines' for clothing. There are stores where you can use those.

[By contrast, Zelda leans in to Shiro's description of the dehumidifier's inner workings. She's a science fan by heart if not by name.]

Do they store the water somewhere internally or evaporate it somehow? I honestly wouldn't have thought of the process at all if it weren't for the advertisement. That's not the sort of device we have at home.

[Eh, he wouldn't have minded if she did]

Exactly. Laundromats charge for using their machines, but compared to the cost of buying one, its minimal. I say save your money for other things first. You can always get a washing machine later.

The dehumidifier, in version 1, has a chamber where the water is kept. Like how water collects on the outside of a glass is how that works. It has to be empties periodically. The second version uses different materials that by their nature draw water from the air, which of course need to be changed when they become over saturated.

Oh, that's a good idea. It's a lot of money for everything at once.

[Something she's already realising. At least she has plenty stashed away.]

That's fascinating. I almost want to get one just to see it work.

Yeah it is. Prioritizing is a good first step. There are somethings you have to have and things that would be nice to have.

I think we have one. I was planning on doing work in our attic at some point and its not insulated yet so its more exposed than the rest of the house. I can always show you how it works.

I think I can manage easily enough with just a few things at first. I can build up to more.

[At Shiro's offer, she practically beams.]

Really? That's so kind of you - I've love to see it.

Great. I'll dig it out and get it set up so you can see it. I'll let you know when I have it up and working.

Oh, just to let you know so you aren't surprised, there are two robot lions in our house.

[He's already dangling a carrot in front of her. Mentioning robots is like putting two more carrots there. Her eyes widen with supreme interest.]

Are those robotic animals then? Did you get them from the technology fair a few months ago? Do they work on their own or is there a controlling device?

[Ah ha. He'd meant it as a warning, but it had made her more interested. Which was fine with him. The lions were pretty cool]

Yes, they vaguely resemble lions, creatures from my world. They were actually created by the Alteans back home, but when they traveled through the portal here, trying to find us, they shrunk. So now they are about actual lion size. They think on their own. They are a true artificial intelligence.

Wait... then how large were they before?

Back home, they are ships. We sit in the cockpit which is located inside the head and pilot them. I'm normally shorter than Black's claw

[It's so strongly reminiscent of the Divine Beasts that Zelda nods in recognition, seeming more at ease with the description.]

I think I know what you mean. We have similar mechanical weapons at home - they're called Divine Beasts.

I don't know what Divine Beasts are specifically, but yes, the lions fall under the description of mechanical weapons. They have a variety of weapons and fighting abilities they can use.

They're similar to what you describe: large moving weapons that need to be piloted. The four of them are all different creatures but operate under the same control scheme. [She smiles then, pragmatic.] They all have the same weapon though. A great energy beam.

Huh... does sound like they are similar. That's one of the weapons that they have. Don't worry though; they don't really use them.

Did you want to come over and meet Black now?

Your lion? Are you sure it's not imposing?

It's not imposing. He likes to meet people.

Then... I would love to come visit. [Getting the go-ahead is really all she needs. The idea of meeting something like a Divine Beast, even in miniature, is too good to pass up.] Whereabouts do you live?

[Shiro gives her the location of his house without hesitation]

[And he'll be waiting for when she arrives]

[It's passing strange to go visit someone's home mere minutes after meeting them, Zelda thinks to herself as she makes her way across town. Even more so when they have only had a talk over video. But it's an offer she's not going to turn down just out of politeness; her own curiosity needs to have its due.

With that in mind, she finds herself knocking on the door to Shiro's home, shifting back and forth on her feet.]

[Yeah, anywhere else, it may have been strange to just out of nowhere decide that you were going to visit the house of someone you barely knew, but the lions were highly tempting to most people. The promise of a robot lion got people's attentions and then curiosity took over.

Shiro was expecting her so when there was a knock at the door, he got up to answer it]

Hey there. Nice to see you. Come on in.

[He stepped aside so that she could come in.

And as promised there is a black robot lion sitting in the living room. Black gives her a moment to walk in before getting up and walking over to her]

This is Black.

[She straightens up unconsciously when Shiro opens the door and offers him a grateful smile.]

Thank you so much. My name is Zelda, by the way. I don't think I said over the phone.

[Following his gesture inside, it doesn't take long at all for Zelda's eyes to fix on Black. It's just as Shiro said - a robotic creature in miniature. Beaming, she finds herself dropping down to her knees to properly greet it.]

Hello, Black.

No problem. I'm Shiro.

[Since they were just now getting around to doing that.

Black walked over to her the rest of the way as she came over and knelt down in front of him. Most people didn't do that and Shiro could tell the lion was happy about that. Closer to his level. In fact Black purred, now close enough that she could touch him]
