[Teddy is sat on the couch in his apartment, looking a bit... somber, honestly. Between the apparitions and everything else, he's not sure he needed another thing on top of it. But here it is. He sits forward to place a tech canister on the table in front of him.]

I just got one of these. I'm pretty sure I know what it does since I saw my boyfriend use it and age up years before my eyes, but... I guess my question is: how do you even know if you want to use it? I mean, maybe my future will be amazing, but maybe I'll come out of it with some horrific knowledge I don't even want.

Or I could come out of it a bald old man. Who knows, right?

[And that'd probably put a crimp in his dating life, definitely.]

I think I want to use it though. Maybe. I'll give it a few days. I guess I just figured I should also give people a head's up if I come around looking a lot older.

That's a really good point. I kind of really want to see the sword... it's been hyped up a lot.

Billy said he was pretty hideous with a bad hairline though...

[Okay, so Billy would never actually call him hideous, but. He sounded pretty rough from the description, okay... also his life kinda sucked. He doesn't want to become that.]

Considering what actually happened in that timeline, it was probably stress that did it.

Besides, it's not like that's actually our future. We averted pretty much everything to do with it twice over.

Thanks... that's actually really reassuring. I mean-- what else do superheroes do beyond averting the worst possible outcomes, right? I guess I'd also remember being on a team with you too.

No, it's okay. I'll be doing it for myself... and I think I really should, you know? You can hear about your future all you want, but it's nice to actually experience it for yourself.
