This place is so fascinating! Have anyone else been displaced like this in other places? How many realities does even exist?

[Another wipe of a (webbed?) hand over the camera, and there's more visibility. There's a smiling face of a man in his mid-twenties with odd scars on his cheeks and fully black eyes.]

Are there any humans here that are just humans? Or do you all know magic? Do you know about non-human beings back in your world? If so, what do you think about them? If you're a human with no magic, do you wish you had such powers? Do you have any other abilities that make you more than the average person?

If you're non-human, do you hide that at home? Or do you get along with them? Is it weird to be open with it here? Are there a lot of different non-humans or just a few? Are your vampires dead or alive? Do other weres than wolves exist? Fae? Have you ever fought humans? Do you know any divines?

I used to be human, but I'm not fully one anymore. I still think I am mostly human, though. And I have to hide what I am, yes. I don't think I can be open about it here, either.

How come you feel you can't be open with it here? I mean, there are vampires.

I'm a mer. Fish tail, water breathing, the whole shebang.

Because sometimes people are so scared of something that they can't accept it. And that means someone might get hurt.

We didn't have mermaids in my world. Can you walk out of water?

Makes sense. However, there are a lot of strange creatures here that I'm sure humans are surprised by.

Maybe you do. We like to stay hidden. <('O')> I can't walk out of water, but I can breathe on land for a while. It's mostly the tail that's an issue.

This isn't just "surprise". What I become, it can be dangerous too. Which makes it very complicated, because no one knows how to see beyond that.

I think we'd have noticed by now, specially with everything that happens. But mermaids exist in many stories and books.

Is it hard to live here when you can only be on water? Since the place focus a lot on land and most people rely on it.

Again, vampires. Also dangerous. I'm not gonna talk you into things you don't want to do, though. I'm just enjoying the fact that I don't have to hold up the Veil here.

A lot of us fae used to interact more with humans, but that changed. Hence myths and legends. Since humanity in my world have only managed to explore about 10% of the sea, we're pretty nicely hidden.

It hasn't been that difficult yet, just a little lonely. I'm pretty much stuck in the river.

[ a vampire doesn't have to kill or maim in order to feed. Or they can drink donated blood. Nobody will be donating human flesh as easily as blood, though. But it doesn't really matter, it's not something Kaneki will be arguing about. ]

Why don't you interact with humans, in your world?

I can see why it'd be a bit lonely. I hope you can get to meet more people, though.

Pretty much because they're dangerous, outnumber us and have really annoying weapons these days. All non-humans decided they suck and started hiding from them.

These things help. I'm glad my phone still works on this network, even if the battery is an issue.

I can imagine. But with advanced technology, they can probably fix that, right?

It was a long time ago. I'm not so old that I can't look beyond the old grudges. Still, I did my best to stay hidden back home.

I sure hope so! Maybe they can even make it more waterproof so I can use it under water.
