This place is so fascinating! Have anyone else been displaced like this in other places? How many realities does even exist?

Are there any humans here that are just humans? Or do you all know magic? Do you know about non-human beings back in your world? If so, what do you think about them? If you're a human with no magic, do you wish you had such powers? Do you have any other abilities that make you more than the average person?

If you're non-human, do you hide that at home? Or do you get along with them? Is it weird to be open with it here? Are there a lot of different non-humans or just a few? Are your vampires dead or alive? Do other weres than wolves exist? Fae? Have you ever fought humans? Do you know any divines?

Yes, that. Although I think some would argue that he was magical himself. You think he was purely human?

I honestly don't know, it's not a huge focus in mer education. I only recognize the name because he was a big deal for humans, but he might have gotten Enlightened or even Divine.

What do those terms mean, exactly? I know the definitions but with the Proper Nouns and all.

Oh, right. Well, Enlightened means a human that had broken through the Veil that separates us from them... and magic from humans. They mostly do it to become mages, or by accident after meeting one of us.

Divine means a being that has worshipers, often enough to gain powers beyond any others of their kind. They're gods or fae rulers or even humans back in early times.

Sounds like Glendower was a little of both. Probably why he was so special. My best friend was trying to find him thinking that he would be granted a wish if he did. That's where my connection comes from.

How would someone become a mage?

Really? That's a little odd, but I don't know anything about your world, I suppose.

I'm not fully sure. I mean, fae are usually born with their magic if they can use it, and humans need to get Enlightened, as I said. I did meet one human mage who said he had used some kind of ritual to get through the Veil, but that might just be him trying to sound mysterious.

It was odd in my world too. I was just one of the few who decided to go along with him. It wouldn't hurt to get a wish, you know?

I've heard of rituals like that. From what I understand, they usually require a blood sacrifice, though. Not the easiest thing to do.

I have no idea what they have to do for it, honestly. It's probably different from person to person. Blood sacrifice sounds plausible... and probably messy.

He just wanted to find him. It was a personal thing. He was sort of in love with Glendower. [ It's probably a joke. ]

Very messy. Although the stories I know about mermaids involve them eating people.

Fish, crustaceans, some sea weeds... I love crab. It's the crunch.

As for human food? Well, I've had a few tastes but mostly what you call 'carnival' food.

To be fair, humans like those things too.

Can't imagine our food would be that healthy for you, though. Especially fried.

Probably not, but I really like the sweetness! Not a lot of things under water are sweet.

I think some people do. Apparently it's healthy. I've never tried it.

Healthy but only good with sea salt and squid ink, imo

It tastes kind of salty, but most things do in the sea.

Oh, sure. Plenty. I like onions or cheese on it, but mayo is pretty good too. If you want something sweet, you can add honey. You have to try all the options to really appreciate a corn dog.
