[ The feed opens up to Loki, dressed in a white shirt and black tie and slacks. He seems to be in a facility somewhere in Riverview, one that might not be familiar to most. He taps a pencil on a clipboard, his bid to look professional. Even his hair is combed back, a few strands tied together with a silver clasp. ]

Greetings. I work at the Gramarye Research Facility for Magic and I was hoping to get some examples of magic taken place in Riverview. Any will do, even ones where your own magic has clashed with the rules of this reality. If you could make it short and precise, I would be most . . . grateful.

Still. It might be worth studying. If I showed you a map, could you pinpoint the location for me?

I could, but I don't think it's my place to do so. I went with a group, and Michael is already pretty invested in studying it. Kind of his thing. So I'd want to ask him first, if it was all right to share.

[ Loki restrains a huff. It's like bureaucracy. But there's no point trying to weasel through a second party if they won't share without permission. ]

Very well. Perhaps I could ask him myself.

[ Snorting, Yuri leaned back, offering a slow smirk. It's a good feeling, having information somebody else wants, and being just dickish enough not to share. ]

Sure, do what you want. If you can track him down.

What would you do with a healing spring anyway? It's just a glorified bandaid, really.

[ Loki can track anyone down. He has enough spells and magic at his disposition, but he's not here to crush mortal dreams.

Yet. ]

Magic, even in a reality like this, must spring from somewhere. It might lead to a source. Or at least, some answers.

What kind of answers are you looking for? Magic is magic, dude. The portal is a portal for a multiverse. Science and shit. Seems pretty easy to understand to me; unless you're stupid.

[dothelokimotion]

[ There's a bark of laughter. ]

Then you wish to stay here? Since you have all the answers.

They've said they can send us home, dumbass. We just have to pay for it. If we want to go. [ And Yuri does, but... at the same time... ]

[ His voice is a low drawl. ]

Then everything lines up quite conveniently for you, doesn't it? Unless perhaps they choose to send your friends without you. Or raise the payments.

But since they said so, clearly it must be true.

[ Yuri rolls his eyes so hard. Because seriously, dude. ]

You know, you're a real charmer. I'm not drinking the fucking koolaid, but being a shitbag about it isn't going to get you anywhere, either.

[ But this is clearly a child. Loki considers what his measures for patience should be. ]

I want to leave. And to do that, understanding the place comes first. That is all.

[ Yuri can't help himself- he lets out a bark of laughter at the other, because dude, really? ]

You know that says a lot more about you than it does about me, Mr. Real Mature. [ Yuri grins, feeling smug- because in his eyes, Loki just did way more to insult himself than he had insulted Yuri. ]

Sure, makes sense, but I don't think a magic spring is going to get you very far. Feels like you're looking in the wrong places.

[ Loki lets it slide. So he makes a noncommittal noise at the back of his throat to feign a loss. What is also clear is that Yuri has no experience in magic. Talking to him further will gain Loki nothing new. He has knowledge of the spring and a name.

He has other avenues to pursue. So he decides a new tack. After all, it is best to indulge children. ]

And where would you look?

[ He just laughed again, making himself more comfortable on his couch, and grinning.

Yuri: 1. Loki: 0. ]

The portals themselves, duh. If anything is going to the answer the question as to the how and why, it's going to be whatever the hell pulled us here in the first place. If they'll even let you close enough to the gates of them to check it out. Which I doubt.

[ The obvious answer. A real sigh this time. He could easily trick the Riverview security but Loki wants to save that card for last. ]

[ Snorting, Yuri did a two finger salute from off his forehead, grinning wickedly. ]
