He taps a pencil on a clipboard, his bid to look professional. Even his hair is combed back, a few strands tied together with a silver clasp. ]

Greetings. I work at the Gramarye Research Facility for Magic and I was hoping to get some examples of magic taken place in Riverview. Any will do, even ones where your own magic has clashed with the rules of this reality. If you could make it short and precise, I would be most . . . grateful.

[ Cisco wonders for a moment if this guy would call his powers magic; after all, he has no clue how they work, and no one else had any idea how he could see into other timelines when such a thing should be impossible. A lot of the metas he's dealt with, the science behind what they can do is pretty straightforward, even if stopping them isn't. But his own powers... less so.

Too bad there's no way in hell he's going to tell anyone about them, much less this stranger. ]

all i was able to get was that whatever they were doing wasn't technological. me and my friend ran a bunch of tests but we didn't see any significant physiological changes when we were... under the influence. slight elevation of body temperature, some changes in hormonal balance, but nothing on a level that would explain emotional breakdowns or outbursts or sudden uncontrollable honesty. so... magic, i guess?

Spells affect the rules of reality while being subject to their own rules. That would seem to be the closest match to magic itself. They could be magical creatures or their nature was tapped into a well of magical energy.

so is this gramarye place where i should call the next time something totally bonkers and inexplicable happens? you said it's a research facility but do you have any kind of setup in place for if there's some kind of magical,
i don't know, catastrophe?

We have magic nullifiers in place but advance warning would certainly help.
