Seems to be a lot of introductions and specific requests on this thing recently. Let's change things up a bit. Here's a few general questions for the masses:

1. If you could travel to any time period, when would it be and why?
2. If you could have any superpower, what would you want? Why?
3. What's your stripper name? Name of your first or favorite pet/stuffed animal + the name of the street you grew up on. Mine's 'Bear Handley'.

Feel free to comment on everybody else's answers. That's what's supposed to make forums like this interesting.

Your dad's right about that one. Thing is, people aren't very nice a good lot of the time. Life gets a lot better when you accept that.

But why accept that? Why can't people be nice?

Because most people are selfish assholes at their core.

Yeah, but that's still a choice to act on it.

You gonna make everyone else's choices for them? Take away their free will to make the world a happy place?

Uh, free will isn't an excuse to be a jerk either. Like. Nothing you've said is an excuse to be a jerk.

You've given a reason, sure, but it's like. the worst reason ever.

Also who goes from choices to like mind-control??? Only supervillains do that.

Nah. I'm just not trying to be especially villainy today.

Finding it a little hard to believe that even bad guys take days off?

Yeah. Because most bad guys tend to be murdery.

[ This is the longest conversation he's had with one where his life isn't in peril. ]

I generally don't murder people. Makes things messy when they don't have to be.

So what do you do?

I'm a thief. And sometimes I like to play footsie with the Flash.

[ The Flash. Jon had to be extra careful here. ]

That sounds like you like losing.

Nah. He's only beat me the once.

Right. Only once.

[ Jon is so skeptical. The Flash is in the Justice League after all. ]
