I believe it is fair to assume that many of us who find ourselves here come from a number of diverse places which are not always comparable, and as such there are countless backgrounds and experiences represented here. That being said, are there customs or behaviors that you have witnessed or experienced here that bewildered you?

For the sake of discussion, this is my contribution:

[Attached is a photo taken of a flyer he was given for a nightclub, obviously catering to and celebrating the legalization of polyamorous marriages.]

This is not something I am aware of as socially acceptable in my galaxy—or at least my part of it—so encountering it as something so blatantly advertised without discretion came something of a surprise.

Is it unusual? The concept of "marriage" as I understand it doesn't exist in my world, though it used to in the past.

Not really. Emotions are discouraged.

Though close bonds between two individuals are sometimes formed anyway.

It's necessary considering the circumstances. The situation is drastic so everyone does what they can - or must, just to survive.
