He gets a sigh out before the video cuts on. He adjusts it to where he can address the camera directly but not in close-up. ]

I am Doctor Stephen Strange. I just arrived here a few days ago and I am aware that many of you already know of another Stephen Strange. Those of you I have met and have been here longer, at any rate.

I want to make this clear to people from here on: just approach me like someone you've never met. It doesn't matter if you know the other Strange here or have heard the name. I just got here. I have not lived his life, I have not done his deeds. Do not confuse me for him because I am not him.

I am sure all of you are well aware of the multiverse situation here so you know this is possible.

[ He does sigh through his nose now. He's kind of annoyed he has to do this at all. Before adding, ]

I hold a position at Riverview Hospital and am an Advisor at Gramarye Magic Research. If anyone needs help medically or... magically, I guess, I will do what I can. I just ask that my wishes be respected as well.

[ Oh wow. That's... a familiar face. Not that he lets on with that just yet. ]

More like whatever impressions he's made, people attach those to me once they know my name.

[ He'd like a chance to make an ass of himself on his own terms, tyvm ]

A rather unfortunate predicament.

[ the only thing that's attached to her is a future she has yet to live through, a rise and of a doomed to fail SHIELD, glory that she feels she doesn't deserve, guilt that she already feels. ]

It's all pretty unfortunate but I am grateful it's not worse.

[ At least there's that. ]

I just want to get it out of the way now so there's no further confusion.

And do you mean has he helped any?

[ her lips curl into a bit of a smile. ]

I suppose that answers my question, already. That bad, is he?

[ and in many ways, she seems to ask, are you? ]

Surely his manners cannot be that horrid.

[ He starts to smile a bit himself, ]

Oh, you know. Stuck-in-an-infinite-time-loop worse.

[ Though he ends huffing a small laugh, ]

Not "horrid" but... well, I already know I can be an asshole. He, from what I can tell, hasn't been helping to change that.

[ Because there's no nice way of saying "my other sort of future self is a walking dumpsterfire of bad decisions". ]

I must say, that is a refreshing way for an introduction. I don't know many who would so willingly confess to a faulty personality.

[ but that seems to strike an impression of a sort and ironically, not a bad one. ]

Well, I haven't met him but if I will, I'll be sure to be prepared.

[ a beat and then. ]

Peggy Carter.

[ He nods, smiling. ]

Took a while to get there, to be honest. But, better to know it than not acknowledge it at all.

[ Which is exactly how he was. And owning up to that is part of him reminding himself that he's not that person anymore. He then gives another nod, mentally knowing he had been right in his recognition of her. It was so surreal to see her, to talk to her. ]

It's a pleasure, Miss Carter. Though he'll probably respond better to you than he has to me. I think we're just made to get on each other's nerves.

[ Which is the nicest way he can put it. ]

[ one thing peggy carter knows: somewhere in another world there is a version of her that's both American and a redhead. she can stomach the latter, the former is just too odd. ]

Do you think you'd get along better with your other self if given the option?

My other half is apparently red-headed and an American.

[ dryly. ]

I think I'd find her baffling as she'd probably find me.

[potentialed]

[ He has to smother a laugh at that, turning away from the camera for a moment to compose himself because imagining the Peggy Carter like that is...kinda comical tbh. ]

Well, you'd have no shortage of things to talk about when comparing notes. Though I'd still wager you'd get along better than... myself.

I have been told several times how infuriatingly stubborn I can be. And I have found, much to my own annoyance, that that trait carries over into other worlds.
