this here anonymouse has what's called Deathsight! means i can see when people are going to die and spirits of the dead

[ well... this is interesting. there are three possibilities here, he thinks. one is that the "anonymouse" is a child of hades like him. maybe from the future, maybe from the past. either way, reason enough to be cautious. two is that the stranger is a child of a different deathgod, potentially of a different pantheon. the final possibility (in nico's mind) is that this is something or someone he's never before encountered. with all the different universes merging onto this small moon, nothing is really out of the realm of possibility. as per usual for a demigod like him, he is wary but also a bit recklessly curious. ]

[ when the appointed time comes, nico is there at the park. but he doesn't make himself visible, content to linger in the shadows with sharp eyes watching for strangers. with his senses reaching out, he seeks whatever presence might feel off. and by now, he's gotten good at picking out immortals from mortals, those with long life spans to those about to die. in essence, this is his thing. and knowing that he's on the look-out for someone with an extra-ordinarily long lifespan ( akin, perhaps, to that of a god ), he's ready for whenever the stranger might show up. ]

[ Cain is an... interesting study in the idea of immortality. Whatever Nico is looking for, he probably finds it in Cain and thensome. His spirit is something strong and robust, human but undeniably bonded to life and death to ridiculous extremes. Not abandoned by either but cut off from contact with the latter. Whatever he possibly does, it just won't happen until the appointed time.

And that time is—well, the number itself would boggle a mathematician. There will likely be no such thing as a human being anymore by the time this poor motherfucker finally gets to die. It might literally be the end of the universe that does it and there's even something lurking, almost threatening, past that.

(There's another connection there, just as strong as the other two, but to someone who's already dead, someone not here yet the bond hasn't broken.)

Not seeing anyone else just puttering around quite like he is, not thinking to look toward the deepest shadows in the park, Cain takes a seat on a bench and tilts his head back. Waiting quietly. If what "ghostking" said was true, it would be phenomenally easy to pick Cain out of the crowd. ]

[ as soon as cain appears, nico does in fact sense the strangeness of his aura. it pings off his own in a way that very nearly confuses him. it's like that of hazel's, and his own. of someone who has escaped the fates and death while not truly being that of a god. of someone out of his time. from his spot in the shadows, nico regards the stranger with even more curiosity before figuring it's time to make himself know.

when he appears, it's as if the shadows literally melt off him. he steps up behind the bench where cain is sitting and looks down at him. ]

I see what you mean. You have a strong aura of death but... also of longevity. It's really weird.

[ even more weird than he probably looks. he seems like an average punk kid with shaggy black hair, eyes like oil slicks, and typical punk rock clothes. his hands are in the pockets of the black aviator jacket and his shirt gladly portrays his love for the ramones. the only thing out of place is the lethal looking black sword that hangs from a metal chain around his hip. like him, it seems to emanate cold and death. ]

[ Cain doesn't startle at the appearance, but his brows do draw together taking the kid in as a whole. It's strange — his eyes see nothing out of the ordinary, the lifespan being within normal parameters, but there's just something... rolling off him, almost. He's not sure he likes the feeling of it. ]

Tell me about it. I've been dealing with this for a while. You're... different than I was expecting, but I do get a vibe from you, too.
