[...He'd picked his username when they pulled him here because superheroes and people on the internet have one thing in common: secret identities. He'd also kind of assumed there wouldn't be any actual Avengers here. So he'd given them his wiki-editing handle, and he maybe regrets it a lot now, but at least he can make this post without his real name attached, or he probably wouldn't make it at all.]

Just a question, but if you knew someone here could tell you about your future... would you ask them about it? Would you want to know, or not? Would it make a difference if they seemed pretty uncomfortable about it?

[He's not sure he does want to know, honestly. But at the same time, Billy is being just a little weird about it, and maybe knowing would be better, in case he lets it slip later anyway. He just can't decide.]

Oh? Are you a warrior of some sort?

[He doesn't really look like it, but living on floor five has taught him that people can be proficient in fighting or have powers without necessarily looking the part.]

Or if you tell someone, they might go crazy trying to make it happen or prevent it, and it just ends up becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Practice is the only thing that helps with that.

[And he should know. He didn't become the best axe thrower out of his brothers by sitting around and doing nothing.]

Exactly. If you knew how you were going to die, would you spend your time trying to prevent it or not caring until it actually happened? Tough questions like that always come up.

Good. Hope you like monsters. There's always a few that need to be beaten back.

[It was a good outlet for Ivar's murderous tendencies. Better he take it out on some monsters that deserved it instead of some hapless civilians.]

What brought on this line of thinking? Did you encounter a ghost from the future here?

Come on by the Perimeter Guard one day. We can fight back a few of them together.

[Ivar likes fighting and killing like all Vikings do, but he enjoys them even more, a touch more bloodthirsty and unstable than even his own brothers were. Ivar leans forward a little, interested now.]

You can't start in with that and not tell me who it is.
