Hi everyone!

[Someone is overly chipper despite being on a world he has no memory of traveling to. Take it all in stride, Sora. He'd been on his way back to Yen Sid's but instead of the wizard's familiar home, Sora had stepped out of a portal in this place.

Hopefully everyone else was alright.]

My name's Sora and I just arrived here.

[His usual big grin appears, arms tucked behind his head as he tilts it a bit in an almost thoughtful manner.]

I'm looking for my friends. I..think they might be here? I mean, if I ended up here they might have as well, especially if they were trying to head to another world. If anyone knows a Riku, Goofy or Donald, can you point me in their direction?

[It was a long shot but hey, it was the best idea he had. After that strange video and being shown to his new living quarters, Sora just wanted to find his friends and get back on track. This world seemed alright for the most part. No sign of Heartless...something must have been messing the portals up. That had to be it.]

Why do you do that with your hair? It's so weird.

Anyway, I've never heard of any of them. Sorry. I'm Lola. Most of us arrive without whoever we were with, and if we're lucky you find out they've been here for a while.

*Lola was not lucky, not really.*

Huh? [Sora's arms drop from behind his head, hands going to his hips.] My hair's not that weird!

[It's just naturally like this, okay.

The momentary irritation disappears as his shoulders slump and his hands slip from his hips.]

It's alright. It was kind of a long shot anyway. [Insert a lopside smile here.] It's nice to meet you, Lola. [A pause.] Wait, what do you mean by that? Finding out they've been here awhile, I mean.

It's pretty weird, but my hair is weird too.

*Lola drags a finger over her hair, wherever her finger touches the white becomes pink, and the pink becomes white. She's still so amused playing with her hair.*

Oh, um, the thing we came through. Portal? It brings people from anywhere and anywhen? I don't get it but it means people who were with you might already be here. Or... you're the one who got here first and they get here after as if nothing happened?

I'm all alone but a bunch of people aren't.

[Sora's eyes widen.]

That's not weird that's amazing! Is that some sort of magic or is your hair normally like that??

[You're not the only person he's ever met with crazy colored hair, Lola but you are the first person he's seen that has color changing hair.]

...But..how is that possible? If I was just with them how could they already be here?

It is amazing, and I had it done here for my birthday. It'll save me a bunch on dyeing it every six weeks.

*Don't mind Lola as she closes her eyes and all her hair turns the same blue color as her icons.*

Dunno, that's just how they explained it. Ask one of the officials here who didn't almost pass science twice.

You can make it any color you want???

This world is really, really different from the other worlds I've been to..

*Lola stop acting like this is normal!*

You've been to other worlds before? This is my first trip and it's kinda lame I only get to visit the moon.

That's so neat! Can you do rainbow colors and stuff like that??

[Okay but now he wants a show.]

Yeah, I've been to a lot--wait, this is a moon?

[SOmeone had missed that part. Way to pay attention, Sora.]

That's kinda a lot of concentration to make it work. I have to pick out a color, then only touch some of my hair before thinking of the next color to do that. Maybe if I have a good reason to do that.

*Lola blinks.*

Um... yeah, didn't they tell you, or... have you seen the night sky yet? Cause it's really kinda... big. The planet. Like, super huge.

Oh, right. I didn't think about that...if you do ever decide to try it, you definitely have to show me!

[If he hasn't found his way off this world and is headed onto the next that is.

Sora's expression right now is definitely one that could be described as deer caught in the headlights before it shifts into something a little sheepish.]

I..might have..zoned out that part of the video.

If I ever do that I'll have to take a million pictures. Obvi.

*Lola grins.*

Oh, I kinda did that too, but then I spent like an hour researching this place myself. They don't have wikipedia but they have something like it.

There's no one by those names here, I'm sorry to say. They may appear at a later time.

Well it was worth a shot.

If you do happen to run into them, will you tell they Sora's looking for them? Donald and Goofy are hard to miss!

I'll let them know, if I do. It's pretty safe inside the city, so if they arrived - they would be alright.

Thanks! I really appreciate it! And I'm sure it is I just really want to make sure they're okay. We don't usually end up on worlds randomly like this so something must have happened.

I don't think most people end up randomly in other worlds.

[ He hopes?! ]

Well, if something goes wrong with our Gummi Ship it could probably happen. I think it did happen to Goofy and Donald once or twice before I started traveling with them!

[ ... ]

I think the only way to really get here is through that portal.

Hi Sora, I'm Marinette! Um... Unfortunately I don't know if any of your friends are here. My friends aren't here either. [ Which was good and bad honestly. ]

Maybe they'll show up?

Hi Marinette!

[Sora offers the brightest smile he can, trying not to let anything that people have told him get him down.]

Maybe they will. [Honestly it would be nice to at least have Riku with him...] But this just means I have to make new friends in the meantime!

[ She smiles back, pleasantly, positively. ]

Well, I'd be happy to count myself among the new friends you make here. Are you going to go to school here?

[That makes him brighten up even more.]

I'd really like that!

[A beat.]

We have to go to school?

[ She smiles back, stifling a little giggle at the latter. ]

Well I don't think they're forcing us to go - it's only if we want to.

Oh. That's good then.

[Can you see his relief?]

It's been a long time since I went to school. I'm not sure I'd know what to do!

You've not been to school in a long time...?

[ But wait, wouldn't that be the point of school, learning what to do? Though she supposed it would be awkward for her too, if she wasn't in school for a long time and then suddenly had to. ]

Were you sick?

No, nothing like that! When the Heartless attacked and our world was consumed by darkness, I started traveling to different worlds to help stop the Heartless! My friend Riku and I have been traveling ever since then and Kairi was able to go home for a little while but I think that was only because everyone had forgotten who I was because of what Namine did.

[Why yes he is frowning thoughtfully as he says that part before he perks up again.]

But everything's starting to get better! Maybe we'll be able to go home sooner than we think!

.. You've lost me. Heartless..? [ All these names and attempted explanation only serve to make her more confused. It sounded like a tangled knot of 'you're only going to get a headache trying to keep it straight' Marinette. ]

Um... I'm.. glad that things are getting better at least. Hopefully a way home is found soon, yeah.

Well, not many people look beyond the fence.
It is dangerous, though!

I'm not worried about dangerous. If my friends are out there I need to know.

The only way to know is to look!

You know the fenced in areas where there's people working? Just past that.

[Sora and Riku... Where has he heard those names before? He has heard them before, hasn't he...? Maybe he's just imagining things, thinking of some other, similar-sounding names or something. It's been a long two weeks, with Perimeter Guard 'boot camp' and work at the school and trying to keep up with his own training... Maybe his mind's gotten a little scrambled, maybe he should head back to the apartment, get some rest and--

Those boys on that island with the star-shaped fruit.

... What a coincidence two older kids would have those same names. This Sora even has 'key' in his username there. Heh.

And he... said something about his friends trying to head to another world, too... didn't he?

Even kind of... looks like that one boy did...

...]

I don't think I've met anyone with those names here yet. But there are a lot of people in the city and new people are coming through the portal all the time. [There's a short pause.] What do they look like, these three friends of yours? I travel around the Quarantine a lot, I can keep an eye out for them.

[The voice isn't immediately familiar to Sora, at least no in the way one Riku or Kairi's voice would be. But there's something about it..something that stirs a memory in the back of his mind. A memory that isn't his but is a part of him...]

It does seem like a pretty big place.

[Sora's voice has gone thoughtful as he tries to figure out why this person sounds so familiar.]

Well, Riku is taller than me and he's got short cut silver hair now! Donald is shorter than me and all white, usually wears blue magician's clothes. And Goofy is tall like Riku and all black with a big nose! He usually has a shield with him.

[Taller than him and silver hair...

It's not possible. He visited that tiny world only a few months ago. There's just no way... These have to be different kids.]

Right. I'll... be sure to let you know if I see anyone matching that... uh, those descriptions.

[Sort of stopped paying attention after the Riku bit, honestly. May or may not guiltily replay the recording to catch the parts he missed.]

You mentioned that they might have been trying to get to another world...?

[There's that feeling again. That itch in the back of his mind. There's a name there but he can't quit get a grasp on it.]

Yeah, well, I mean, maybe? The last time I saw them they were with Yen Sid and I had to go take care of something before we started traveling again but Riku might have definitely been going somewhere. He's always running off and doing things without telling me where he's going.

[Sora sighs, shaking his head even if Terra can't see it.]

At least he's not as bad as he use to be...

Yen Sid.

[As in Master Yen Sid. (Or... former-Master Yen Sid...)

Okay, he needs to sit down.

The same boys from that island... Only mostly grown up, somehow. The portal pulled this boy out of the future? ... Yeah, now that Terra thinks about it, he might have once heard some people talking about that being possible here. People drawn from the same World, universe, dimension, but from completely different times. He never imagined that might happen with anyone from his universe, though.

And these kids have already been traveling the worlds in their time? Both of them? Along with two other people... Donald and Goofy, whoever they are.

How many years has it been since he visited their homeworld and performed the ceremony with Riku? What business do they all have with Yen Sid? Does that username mean what he thinks it might mean?

If this Sora's from the future, does he know...

... Oh, right, the smart phone thing's still on. Terra clears his throat a little, pretending he didn't just lapse into silence there for a few moments.]

It sounds like your friend's pretty independent... That's not such a terrible thing. I bet he's only trying to do what's right when he goes off on his own.

[Just gonna casually stick up for Riku without knowing literally any of the details here, sure, why not. Projection what projection.]

Hey, if you don't mind me asking, how old are you?

Yeah...are you alright?

[If there's one thing Sora's good at, even when he's not face to face with someone, it's picking up on any sort of shift in emotion--any shift away from content and happy. There's worry in his voice as he asks it and he's itching to turn the video on but the other hadn't used video to begin with so maybe they didn't want to..

Yeah this was turning into a dilemma for him.

But hey, shifting the conversation to Riku seems to help. Sora can't help but let out a quiet, fond laugh.]

Oh, I know that's what he's trying to do. Riku's always trying to keep Kairi and I safe no matter what the cost. It's taken me a long time to get him to understand that there's no shame in letting us help--I want to protect him just as much as he wants to protect me. We can accomplish a lot more if we work together and keep each other safe instead of running circles around each other all the time.

[Maybe now, after the latest incident with Master Xehanort, it'll be easier for that to happen.]

Me? I'm 16! [A beat.] Why?

[Terra's taken aback by that first question. Perceptive kid...

Then Sora goes on to describe Riku and the flicker of surprise becomes a more all-encompassing astonishment.

That boy he passed the Keyblade onto... He's almost an adult now and he's out there somewhere, protecting the things that matter with all his heart... (The 'there's no shame in accepting help' and 'we accomplish more when we work together' comments go in one ear and out the other.)

... At least he made one good decision.

Kairi must be another friend of theirs, too. How many friends do they have? Are they all from the same world? ... Ah.]

I'm fine. [A bit of a rushed answer. Determined to stop getting lost in his thoughts, he tries to focus on the end of Sora's reply. Sixteen years old, he said. He and Riku were maybe... five-ish that day on the island? So around ten years... give or take a couple of years.

Around ten years.]

And I was just curious. [He still sounds distracted. Excuse, he needs an excuse...] I... didn't know if I should ask if they gave you a job or if they're enrolling you at a school.

[Another pause.]

I work as a teacher's assistant at one of the schools here. You're way too old for that school, though.

You don't sound fine.

[Terra don't you try to play this game with him! Sora may not be super perceptive all of the time but when it comes to people being upset about something this boy is all over it!

He's frowning on his end, prepared to keep trying to get this guy to tell him why he seemed so miffed by the information Sora was giving him but then he has to go and mention school.

The second person to do it. At least this guy seems to get that he doesn't need to go.]

I haven't been to school since I left the island but I think I'm doing pretty well! Goofy and Donald make sure that I learn stuff here and there and Yen Sid's the same way. Oh, and King Mickey but we don't see him all that often.

[Aka he just really doesn't want to go to school so thank you for not telling him that he should.

And now that they've got that out of the way, back to the other subject.]

...Did something I say upset you somehow? I didn't mean to if I did. It just seems like something I said spooked you a bit.

[... This kid.]

No. I'm not... upset, I'm just... you know... [Uh.] Tired.

[Well, it's not a lie. He is awfully worn out right now. Even if that totally isn't the reason he's fumbling his way through this conversation...]

I'm sorry if I sound strange.

[Watch him play this game all day long!! ... Wait. Wait, around ten years and they're traveling the worlds and...]

Are your friends... and Yen Sid and Mickey the only ones teaching you...?

You know someone who is actually named Goofy?

[Sorry, that's the only thing Ivar is currently focusing on, because seriously? Vikings have weird names and nicknames (including his own) all the time, but that's something else.]

...Yes?

[He doesn't understand why this is so weird and it shows on his face.]

Wait, do you know him too?

No. It just seems like an unfortunate name to be known by.

[Might as well call someone the village idiot at that point.]
