[There are a few things Ed is quick to concern himself with upon arrival, and even though they certainly relate to "how the hell do I get back where I came from?" he's seen this play out enough times to know that asking that question directly is never likely to get results. At least not the ones he wants. He's well aware that this change of scenery isn't just some new challenge, because if it was there certainly wouldn't be any point to the mark outright disappearing, but it was gone. Which likely meant one thing, they were telling the truth - at least about one aspect of all this, and he was not in Muir anymore.]

Does anyone have any idea what's really going on here? Has anyone been doing any research on this place? Or been here long enough to know whether or not it is what they claim?

[Ed's skeptical about this whole situation, but cynicism wasn't enough to go on that something just wasn't right here. He had a hard time taking everything in that little introduction at face value.]

If we can just ask to be sent home given enough time, has anyone actually pulled it off?

I got oppressive governments, and if it was a reality distorting horror there'd be... um, reality distortions. Those are hard to hide.

What'd I miss?

*She's curious, because she'd been looking for a sign of, well, suffering when she arrived. But she was pretty quickly clear this place wasn't like Kaladesh. It wasn't even like Ravnica, that place had a sorta a weird tension like a barfight would start at any moment. If it was like Regatha the walls would need to be taller to deal with wildlife... what's this guy looking for?*

*Excuse the wide eyed stare at all that, that's some impressive levels of power manipulation. But this is still more Jace or Lili's area of understanding, not her's.*

Most planes don't really have gods. I mean on Zendikar they were just beings that don't fully exist in reality that ate worlds. Well, I guess certain planeswalkers could pass themselves off as Gods... still, that sort of power isn't something I run into very often.

I wonder how the freezing thing would work on me...

That's how Lili described walkers from before... when they could make whole planes out of nothing.

*Centuries ago, well before Chandra's time, Liliana and the other walkers that old could do whatever they wanted in the world. Warp everything to their magic and whims. But Chandra had never seen this sort of power.*

Never tried it before. Maybe if I was unconscious I could freeze... but I doubt it.

*Chandra's hand burst into flames.*

Hmm... yeah, that's a really big magical undertaking. The sort of work needed to put that sort of curse in place is massive. Still, undermining my own magic so my flame isn't hot would be something I'd wanna play with.

And see if I can still burn them. Because I also just naturally produce heat. Cats love me.

*Her hand is still enveloped in fire. This is like the least on fire Chandra has ever been.*

Which is weird since I'm pretty sure there are plenty of fire shamans and pyromancers in the blind eternities. I'm far from the only one.

And it's not really worth pointing out you're only talking from your limited knowledge, that's all anyone gets to do.

Most people get surprised I can be right about stuff.
