[ A video comes on, and what's most clear is that on the right side of his face is covered in blood, and there's a crack in the corner of his orange-glasses. It's pretty clear right away that he's been off fighting or doing something. ]

Oh my, oh my - just when I get a new pair. Already. What a waste. I'll have to go out and find new and be more careful next time!

[ As if he will be. ]

So - can anyone recommend a good tailor and dry cleaner? I --

[ He shifts the camera, and pans it down the front of his suit. On his chest, there's several holes and dried blood. Several of the holes seem to go clear through the shirt underneath, too. ]

Ruined my favorite suit. Ran into a little trouble.

[ Hah - yeah - a little. He seems amused by this, so he starts to laugh a little. ]

Just a little.

It's a skill I learned back home. I repair my own all the time, it takes no time at all.

[Because honestly, he doesn't need more information than that, right?]

[ Whatever it is. ]

[Ed sets the device down to give a quick demonstration, something a little more flashy than just mending clothes.]



See. Fixing a suit's no big deal.

You might want to change and meet me somewhere convenient, I'll need those clothes to fix 'em up.

If you're staying in the communal housing, I can meet you there.

Floor 12. The lobby might be better, though~

[ He'll totally just put on another suit. ]

Meet you in the lobby.

[He's probably expecting that.]

[ Giovanni appears in the lobby in an almost identical suit, but holding his completely damaged one. He's keeping his eyes open for that familiar face to fix this, so that he can get on with his day. ]

[Ed knew Giovanni in Purg just well enough to prepare for this, so he has some materials with him to make up for what's missing from the remains of the damaged suit. He catches sight of him and raises his free hand to get his attention, not at all surprised by the fact that he's wearing nearly the same exact attire. Because Ed's seen this before, and not just with him, with plenty of other predictable sorts that have come to him for the same repairs over and over again.

As quick as alchemy is, Ed's off to the side by a wall to keep out of the way of anyone coming and going. The light and sound itself was enough to draw attention, they didn't need to be standing in the middle of the lobby to top it off.]

[ Ah - there's that familiar face he was expecting to see. He's not surprised he's standing off to the side. He takes a good look at the guy...who is shorter than he anticipated. For some reason. He's not sure what he was expecting exactly. He steps towards him, unfolding the suit to show the damage. ]

Ah. So you're the one who has flashy skills~

[ A little hum. ]

[Ed is adjusting to everyone being shorter than he remembers, although he knows that's mostly an illusion. Growing after leaving Purg had certainly done things to his perception, but he was fully aware of it having Michel with him the whole time. Still, most people remain taller than him by a considerable amount, so it's hardly anything to double take at.]

Yeah, I guess so.

[One could definitely call them flashy, even if Ed's manner wasn't always. He sets the materials down before taking the remains of Giovanni's suit and giving them a quick once over, placing them beside the folded cloth there and clapping his hands together - setting his palms against the pile of clothes to merge them together with a flash of blue light.]

[ Giovanni whistles. It is what he had been thinking he'd see, but it's different to see in person than over the network. This is certainly something mother would take a liking to, he thinks. He watches as what was once wrecked become whole again. Impressive, really. ]

What a useful trick~

[ It feels a little like magic to him. And he comes from so much science, so he's kind of...fascinated. ]

[Ed picks up the suit once the light subsides and offers it to Giovanni to take, smirking some at his words.]

Yeah, it comes in handy. Cost of materials might add up with holes that big, though.

[sixtyeighth]

I'll have materials next time~

[ He considers it a moment. He has a job after all, and he's not about to try to take advantage of someone who so clearly is useful for him. ]

Or pay you.

That might be a good idea.... Don't worry about me. It's hardly any time at all.

[Ed shrugs. He's much more comfortable with the idea of Giovanni picking out his own fabrics in the future.]

If you get your own materials then you can pick out whatever you want to use too.

You seemed to do a perfect job picking out something that matches.

[ Claps then shifts to gather up his suit that has been repaired. Giovanni doesn't pass out compliments often - but he offered this up. Admittedly, the skill was kind of cool. Though... he doesn't say thank you. Not really his style. Instead -- he examines his suit. ]

Looks good~

[ That means - he will be on his way then. ]

I have a little experience fixing up suits from before, so it was best guess really.

[He's totally not about to say they were Giovanni's suits. Meanwhile, Ed has to get back up to his own floor to meet with Lockon, whenever he shows up.]
