[ There's a flapping of wings and the rush of wind. The video is obviously being taken from a point very high up. All that is visible is Angela, her silver armor with its golden wings gleaming in the sunlight, and the blue, cloud-dotted sky behind her. She holds the phone out, posing for the camera. Though she can't seem to settle on a good angle.

Is she...? Yeah, it looks kind of like she's trying to take a selfie. She must have hit record by mistake.

I was not exiled from Heven for what I did. I was exiled for what I am.

[ Just then, the waiter arrives with her drinks. Angela nods her thanks and takes a sip of her float, adding as an aside, ] I was exiled from Asgard for what I did.

[hellicious]

Exile's always seemed a bit harsh, but I suppose I'm a bit biased.

[He smiles at the waiter, sipping his own drink with a happy hum.]

So let me get this straight; you were in Heaven, but you weren't an angel and they knew that. Then you saved their souls from Hell and they kicked you out even though they were supposed to have accepted you as you are. Then where you're from kicked you out for trying to save the souls of those you'd grown up with as your own?

Seems incredibly cruel and designed as a no-win situation.

[hevenly]

[ Angela shakes her head. ]

No. My true parentage was revealed, and I was exiled from Heven. Then I was welcomed back to Asgard warmly, but I stole the newborn daughter of Odin and Freyja -- Laussa -- and for that, I was exiled. Even though I ultimately returned her in better shape than when I took her.

It wasn't until after that, that the Angels in Hel were freed.

You stole a baby?

[Lucifer sipped at his drink, then looked quizzically over at her.]

Whatever for? Please don't tell me you're of that whole sacrificing belief.

[If she could bring souls back from Hell, perhaps she could resurrect slaughtered children. Who knew?]

The child was conceived in the liminal space between realms, where dwells the being Surtur. Had I not intervened to purify Laussa in the fire of the furnaces of Heven, Surtur would have used the babe as a foothold into Asgard, and from there, the rest of the Ten Realms.

[ Yes, she stole a baby, but she did it for a good reason. ]

She survived, and is presumably living happy and healthy in her mother's care. [ Angela doesn't actually know what her sister is up to these days, being exiled and all. ]

... So you saved multiple realms and they still gave you the boot? Seems short sighted and a little cruel to me.

[hevenly]

[ Angela shrugs. ]

The Asgardians, nor the Angels, are not a forgiving people.

[hellicious]

Angels rarely are. And I say that as one myself. Oh, we can forgive the little things, really, but our grudges are legion.

[hevenly]

[ Angela nods, sipping her float. ]

Those with long lives hold long memories.

[hellicious]

I'd hope so. I read some bit of fluff somewhere about ancient beings that lost their memories after a while. Could you imagine being thousands of years old and then whoops, I'm really only twelve? Nasty bit of nonsense.

[hevenly]

[ Angela looks affronted by the possibility. ]

What would be the point of that? One cannot be her true self if she cannot remember what she has done before.

[hellicious]

Well, it was written by a human, so it's likely they wouldn't have the first idea, mm? What's a decade here or there when you've had a nasty life? Can't erase it, so just forget it. Shoddy logic, if you ask me.

Isn't there a piece of wisdom that says those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it?

Well, it is fiction. They can be forgiven for their little insanity there. But still, as much as there are some things I... am not especially fond of, those memories are mine.
