Normal as he's ever looked, really, but the confidence that he lacked during the recent event is back in full force and he's very nonchalant about it all. He's at a flimsy-ish table with a laptop off to the side where the camera is obviously his propped up phone instead. ]

Hey! Long-time no talk, Riverview Quarantine. Just a few things. If you met me over the last week and a half or so, that was... technically me but not. You know that thing that was going on? Yeah, that. Don't worry about it. Forget about all that.

Quick catch-up for those who have (or haven't!) met me, I go by Jacob Kane nowadays. [ Not Romulus. Nope. This total 180 is completely normal considering he hardly looks any older or different at all. ] My job while I'm here is designing phone apps. I've been here for about two months now and I think this is my first actual post on the network. Anything interesting happen while I wasn't looking?

(It's clearly frustrating for her: she's chewing her lower lip, scowling at something off-screen. In all honesty, she thinks it might just be connected with the way that Taako has been acting intermittently towards her ever since she got here. Strange and secretive. She doesn't like it.

Lucretia gives her head a little shake to clear it.)

Sorry, it's... it's really not important. It's good that everything is back to normal.

[ He shifts, hand raising to wave it off. ]

Well. Taako has been introducing me to all of his friends. Yourself?

Yeah? He got a lot of those?

[ He doesn't know Taako that well but the guy seems friendly enough. ]

Just getting caught back up on all the things I missed. I was pretty cut off from things.

Yes. I know one of them is the boyfriend but I can't figure it out. He's flirty with everybody.

(Don't get her wrong: her tone is very fond.)

Yeah, of course. It must be good to be back.

[ He laughs, just a quick bark. ] Well, that's a problem. Thought of just asking?

[ Oh no, he gets it. Still a strange issue to have. ]

Definitely. I much prefer me now.

I take it that had something to do with the whole... Chalice thing. Not exactly my subject of expertise, so I admit I'm not sure exactly what happened there.

[ She is lifting in her head just so. It's one thing for her to volunteer a person for that purpose and an entirely different thing for a person to volunteer themselves. ]

Why not? Can't say I'll be available 24/7 but it could be fun.

[She takes a seat in her chair, looking perennially at ease: legs crossed at the ankles, elbows jutted on the arm rests.]

Funny thing, so many folks from Earth. What is it about your planet that makes people want to leave?

[ deathsight. right. okay that-- doesn't actually make any sense what so ever to Tony, but at the same time it does fall into place about what he knows about Jacob and makes a few more things that he had been wondering about clearer.

Is it unchangeable? Or is there a way to affect the time on the clock? What if what you see is only for here, not my home.

[ because fuck anything other than the possibilities here clearly.] That seems a lot like the ability to see the future which, amazingly enough, is the argument that got me killed back home, so. How does it work?

Changing it has... happened, but more often than not you run out of time because you didn't make the right choice. People who change their time don't quite know there's a time to change.

[ He tilts his head to the side in consideration, then shakes his head. ]

Clocks don't move here so that would be weird. Pretty sure they're on pause until you're in the proper time for it to actually work toward the end. [ There's a brief breath, like a laugh. ] Maybe, maybe not. What I know is that it's never been wrong if left to nature. It's when someone like me shows up to interfere that things get less... concrete.

How does which part work?
