[It's been about a month since this weird, glitchy-looking styled message has appeared on the network, but here he is again. But instead of a list of quiet, seemingly random questions, it's a pretty legible question.]

There are people here from different sorts of worlds, with different sorts of abilities, and experiences that border on the supernatural.

The longer I'm here, sometimes I find it hard to believe this is anything more than a strange dream, or something along those lines.

I understand science and machinery. I don't understand the supernatural, only in the sense of Videogames and Science Fiction.

If you have abilities or experiences that are different from this 'normal' I understand...

Tell me about it.

Your magic, your reality, supernatural creatures or abilities...

I'm interested in that.

[ Distinguished and not-so distinguished residents of Riverview, hello.

Currently, you are graced with a mugshot of one Peter “Space-Duke” Quill and a view of the messier half of his shared apartment. In his hand is his trusty mp3 player – which boasts at least three hundred songs, holy crap, y’all – and while he has one bud in his ear, the other dangles from the wire. ]

So. Apparently if nothing else, this place has, like, all the music ever. So if I’ve gotta be stuck here, might as well make the most of it, right?

I’m on the hunt for somethin’ new. Tryin’ to play a whole lot of catch up. If anyone’s got any music recommendations, I’m all ears. Songs, artists, albums, weird, avant-garde stuff with a guy saying “number nine” over and over – hit me with your best shot. I’ll try anything once.

Also, uh.

[ A pause, and he turns the mp3 player’s face toward the camera. The screen happily displays the album art of The Best of Earth, Wind & Fire, Vol. 1 while “September” plays. Zunes, man!! Aren’t they rad? ]

Don’t suppose anyone here’s familiar enough with this that they can show me how to add stuff?

[The video crackles on and there's a somewhat familiar face that appears, though it appears somewhat bored. The username suggests that this is not Jacob Kane and instead someone that looks identical to him. Well, if he stopped attempting to look like a lazy college student, that is. When he speaks, it with a flat monotone that's devoid of any emotion.]

If there is anyone here who knows of the man named Jacob Kane, I would like to know his whereabouts as I've found something of his that I would like to return.

[He looks down briefly and something starts making almost angry hissing sounds, but it's muffled by something.]

Stop that. I know you can behave better than this. [He looks back up at the camera.] Dear brother, if you're receiving this, I found your shadow.

Hey, so.

Does anyone want to hang out and maybe build this cool lego replica of a medieval castle?

( That sound you hear? Definitely a box of legos he's shaking around. )

Or - I found a few different cleaning products that when mixed together can make some pretty awesome reactions? We can go mix them together, see what happens? Don't worry! I've got safety equipment and all that, promise.

Or we could do whatever. I'm easy.

( He just misses Ned and Aunt May and Happy's voice mail already, you know? )

[ The video starts in the low light of a mostly dark room. There’s a bit of sunlight coming in through a nearby window, but the blinds are closed to give the room a soft, muffled quiet atmosphere. Yuri’s face swings into focus, and he smiles at the camera in his own hand knowingly, pressing a finger to his lips in a ‘shhh’ gesture, before turning the camera back towards a very soft and comfy looking pile of bedding- on it, Otabek’s cat Tazaghul. And around her, a mass of soft, tiny, wriggling mewling newborn kittens. ]

Taza went into labour early this morning, it’s been several hours. But mama’s finally all done. She did so good, you guys. [ Yuri’s voice is hushed, adoring. The focus of the camera remains on the kittens, the mom- but Yuri’s free hand reaches into frame, and softly he rubs his fingers between Taza’s ears, who lifts her head. Meows at him softly as her paws kneed against the bedding she and her babies are resting on. ] Six teeny tiny little babies! She’s got them all cleaned up now, such a good mom. [ Yuri coos, voice fond. ] So, everyone welcome them to the world! They’re so cute I could die, aren’t they, Otabek?

[ The camera swings again, to fix upon Otabek, nearby. ]

They’re so small.

[His tone is as quiet as Yuri’s, but the way he says it is so factual. His expression is curious and almost like he has never seen a kitten this size before. He clearly wasn’t knowing what to expect here, and he reaches, gently placing two fingers on one of Taza’s cheeks, gently petting her. She meows quietly, eyes shifting closed and almost burying into the bedding. Otabek’s own attention shifts, lifting to Yuri. There’s a brief glimpse of adoration, but it quickly disappears. ] Mama looks tired, doesn’t she?

Yeah, she does. But she did just bring six little lives into the world. I can’t really blame her. [ Yuri brings the camera back to Taza, where Otabek’s petting her now, as she buries her head into the blanket, closes her eyes as her kittens start to nurse. ] Happy birthday, babies! [ He whispered it, glowing in his tone as his thumb shifts into frame, giving a thumbs up. ]

Oh - it’s...the fifteenth, isn’t it? [ There’s a pause, and Otabek moves his hand away from the cat. He just looks at Yuri for a moment. Quiet, seeming to ponder something. He’s digging through his memories for something that he definitely has buried in there. He seems to realize, since his eyes light up, although his expression doesn’t change. ] It’s Leroy’s birthday, too.

[ The camera jumps, Yuri screeches out- ] WHAT?!? [ And then, the video ends. ]

[ On the screen is one Cain, also known as Romulus, commonly known in the city as Jacob Kane. He looks normal. Normal as he's ever looked, really, but the confidence that he lacked during the recent event is back in full force and he's very nonchalant about it all. He's at a flimsy-ish table with a laptop off to the side where the camera is obviously his propped up phone instead. ]

Hey! Long-time no talk, Riverview Quarantine. Just a few things. If you met me over the last week and a half or so, that was... technically me but not. You know that thing that was going on? Yeah, that. Don't worry about it. Forget about all that.

Quick catch-up for those who have (or haven't!) met me, I go by Jacob Kane nowadays. [ Not Romulus. Nope. This total 180 is completely normal considering he hardly looks any older or different at all. ] My job while I'm here is designing phone apps. I've been here for about two months now and I think this is my first actual post on the network. Anything interesting happen while I wasn't looking?

[Since the last network post went so well, Christian has decided to go to the next step. He might as well see just how far he can push things, right? Sure.]

Hey, guys.

[He even waves awkwardly with the device set up so he can use his hands.]

So, just a few things. First, what's the best way to go about inviting people to a company picnic? I've never really done anything... remotely company related, so any advice is welcome. And on that note, I don't know how many of you are familiar with the Gramarye Magic Research, uh, people, but I thought it might be helpful for all of us to say hello. To each other and everyone else, since researchers tend to close themselves into rooms and never get any good action, right?

Maybe we should try to make friends. Branch out some.

[Or he can sound ridiculous. That's always been a staple of his life anyway.]

How about one last one for the whole class: Have you ever seen a demon?
