Good day, everyone. I've always wondered ever since I came out of that portal last month and stumbling upon the library which is rich with literature that came from other worlds...

What are your worlds like, if you don't mind me asking? Mine is pretty mundane, as I only come from Japan and I go to this specialized school for idols, but it seems that most of you even come from worlds with technology and magic that I've only read from books? Please, enlighten me! I want to hear all about it. ♪

My world is pretty normal as well. Technology wasn't so as advanced as this, and we haven't even reached Mars. [ well, technically Kaneki's world is NOT normal, but he doesn't consider it weird for having ghouls. In fact, he believes that's what most versions of Earth have ]

We didn't have a school for idols, as you know.

Still no idol school, huh... But your world does have idols, right?

Hm- I don't think we'll reach it in my lifetime, back home, but it's a good dream.

And yes, we do. It's a huge phenomenon, really. [ it's a huge industry. Even if Kanaeki isn't all that interested in music, he knows the most recent bands thanks to publicity, ads, radio, and idol groups being pretty much everywhere. And if he is being honest, some songs do get stuck in his head, even if he doesn't want them to ] But there are no school for that - for someone to become an idol requires a bit of luck and everyone is just an amateur at first. [ and then the company that took them in builds them according to what they are looking for, rather than having a school. ]

It is, it is. Yumenosaki is rather prestigious, so it's not that easy to enroll there in the first place. You have to be very dedicated with your dreams as an idol in order to survive there.

[ because man, it's an idol-defeat-idol world back there ]

But if you're successful, then you're guaranteed a great future once you graduate. Though I think that's par for the course in every school you go to.

[ yeah, it doesn't really happen like that back home. It's actually weird to hear there is such a thing, but - well, to each world their own he supposes ]

well, that means you will be very popular eventually, tsumugi-kun.

Ahaha, you think so? I still have a long way to go, though. I can never be as popular as Eichi-kun, really.

But you know, I've always wondered if I became a normal high school student instead, just studying for the entrance exams. Maybe I'd turn out to be just like you, Kaneki-kun.

I'm certain that's not true. [ kaneki doesn't know how popular people are ok ok, he never cared about such a thing and honestly still doesn't. But an idol thrives on popularity, right?, so it'd be something Tsumugi would want, even if Kaneki doesn't ]

I'm a bit boring, I don't think you'd want to become like me. [ except, you know, someone turned him into a monster and all ]

Wh-What are you talking about, Kaneki-kun? You're not boring at all! You love books and making coffee, and I think that's very nice!

[ don't depreciate yourself here, only tsumugi gets to do that!!! ]

it's okay, though. I don't mind having a boring life. [ until he got turned into a cannibal monster, buuuut that's a whole different subject ]
