[When Thor switches the camera on, it's momentarily engulfed by his face before he sits himself back. Now that the frame isn't obscured, it's apparent that he's not the only one there. Both Lokis, Angela and Sif sit either side of him, all situated around a booth at some sort of diner.

Thor, naturally, is the first to start talking.]

It has come to light in one way or another that we could be considered Gods. [He's keeping it vague on purpose.] It is true, in a sense, that we are are not unlike higher beings. We are not mortals and we have powers and abilities beyond what many would be considered normal. The myths and the legends, however, are not precisely true.

[He just wanted to clear that up.] As such, we thought it would be prudent to offer our services in times of need. For missions or protections, we can be of use in many situations. You need only ask.

[He says we, but he largely means I.

Angela, for her part, doesn't look as opposed to the idea as she probably could.]

I will add that I will require payment for my services, but that can be negotiated at a later time.

[ She glances around the table at her siblings as if daring them to counter her.

The younger Loki leans into shot, finger raised. ]

Should you require an actual god, we come in that flavour too.

Diplomatic curiosity, yes, that is what I said. [He figures the meaning is self explanatory, because he's still not adjusted to more casual conversation.]

But if you are trying to ask for me to prove my worth, you should not do it in such a roundabout way, it is tiresome.

The pertinent information is that I was Leader of Heven's Hunt for close to a millennium, I have traversed the unceasing wastes of the Endworlds and fought my way to the throne of Hel. I dove into a blazing furnace to save the Ten Realms from destruction and for my actions was exiled from the land of my birth and the land I call home. Now, I fight for no one freely, so if you presume to give me orders you had better be offering something of value in return.

[ Angela hesitates before adding, ] And for you, the favor would be something light.

We are powerful. But my skill lies with the sword, and from what I understand, even those who deal in magic do not fully understand the nature of the portal.

Mm, perhaps.

[ She has a long history of working alone as Leader of the Hunt, though in recent years she has found herself pleased to work alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy when their paths have crossed. ]

The prevailing religion on Earth now worships only one god who they so creatively refer to as "God." They say he resides in Heven but he does not.

[ Perhaps she should explain. ]

The Angels of Heven were also worshipped as divine, when the humans of Earth were in their infancy.

(She's been hearing quite a lot about 'Earth' lately. Lucretia writes the word slowly out in block letters in the middle of a new page, then squiggles out a number of question marks around it.)

[He does like to talk, doesn't he? There is only one here so far that Sif would follow in to battle without question, and that is Thor himself. She may well have to work with others in the future, and she has no qualms about that, but she also have no qualms about questioning such authority, especially if she does not agree.]

Speak as you may, but my answer remains the same. I follow only those who are worthy. Such is not granted by words alone.

I haven't. [As that is a lot of places to go.] But Heimdall is allseeing and allhearing.

I don't need generosity without recompense. It should be a fair exchange.

It is not something that is as easy as snapping your fingers. When needed, we use it. Although I am not an explorer either. I do not mind seeing new places, but my duty is to Asgard.

[scholiast]

Oh, sure.

(She doesn't agree, but there doesn't seem to be any point in arguing any further.) What duties do you have in Asgard?

You are a powerful leader in your own right, then. I would proffer my apologies, but this precisely is why I requested information from you people.

[Assuming her words were honest, he's not concerned about her exile, either. In the face of her obvious irritation, Ozymandias remains calm.]

The people here are not mine, I have no instinctive interest in defending them. Were I to act, I would presume it would be at the behest of those responsible for our presence here. You too would seek them out for your payment.

In such a case, I would at the very least expect cooperation.
