Hello there. I actually need some help on another expedition, although I have to warn you it might be a little dangerous.

As you all know, there is this reality TV show where a young girl of the family owned a pet that originally came from outside the fences. It's been in a rabid demand lately and they want some people to capture the breeding pair of these creatures and bring it back to the Quarantine.

[He even shows the photo of that said creature that he captured from his phone.]

But the main reason I want to take this mission is that I'm practically worried about what kind of creature they have. Not to mention how did they tame a dangerous monster like the one in the show. This won't be easy, but I assure that I may find the truth behind it.

Of course, I'm willing to accept anyone to aid in this expedition. But I have to warn you that it may be dangerous since we don't know what are we dealing with, so if anyone is willing to risk themselves for this mission, just contact me if you can.

Until then, I'll try to prepare for the expedition. But I hope you will join me very soon.

How are you on combat though?

I wouldn't be on the Guard if I didn't have some experience, I spent four years in the military back home and killing monsters was kind of a way of life in the place I was before this one. We had to, to survive.

I kind of had a reputation back home for my skills, if that means anything to you.

[Judging by his tone of his explanation, he realizes how this young man has been through all of his life.]

I see. But as for the killing part, I think we have to hold that off until we know what we are really dealing with. Our mission is to bring back a breeding pair after all.

It wasn't exactly a great experience, but it was that or starve. Wasn't really too interested in the latter.

[And Izumi had already taught them about hunting to survive. One month on the island, one month in Purg. Monster crabs didn't taste anything like fish and rabbit, but one learned to adjust.]

If we don't need to kill anything, I'd rather not - but if something's dangerous, I can if it comes down to it.

Makes sense. I haven't encountered anything dangerous for a while, but I feel your current experience in the Quarantine outside your job is very peaceful for you, right?

[Well, this is why he is organizing this expedition in the first place.]

If it is dangerous, we might try to kill it so it won't harm the citizens. But only if it's very dangerous and untameable.

[Peaceful? Not really.]

I might poke my head into things the average person doesn't. If I just sat back in the city, and pretended nothing else was going on outside of that wall? Yeah, it would be pretty peaceful, but that's not my style.

[How could he, when being on the Guard showed him just how much there was going on beyond the wall?]

We'll figure that out once we find it.

I don't know if I can defend myself with just my Garchomp, though.

My brother and I are used to having to keep an eye on someone that can't defend themselves.

What's a Garchomp?

[He'd mentioned it before on the network, and Ed had sort of noticed that post but- he hadn't really been paying attention.]

Garchomp is known as a Mach Pokemon. It's a Dragon/Ground-type Pokemon and it's a final evolved form of Gible.

If you want, I can also give you a short description about Pokemon.

[That has his attention. His eyes go wide at the word Pokemon, but he composes himself immediately, before speaking again.]

Yeah, did you just find it or do you actually know anything about them?

Actually, I used to live in the world of Pokemon.

I forgot to introduce myself, though. I'm Augustine Sycamore, a Pokemon Professor on Mega Evolution.

You're a Professor?

[He sounds skeptical, but mostly he's just wondering how much useful information he can get here.]

As an aside, I might have some questions for you if you have the time.

[No rush, it didn't have to be right this second.]

Yes. Along with my research on Pokemon and Mega Evolution, I'm usually responsible for handing out any newcomer's first Pokemon. Although, I doubt I can do so right now.

[He may have the three Kalos starter Pokemon, but he is still worried they don't have breeding partners.]

I see. Just contact me if you can after the expedition.

I sort of have one, already... came through the portal with me apparently.

[He's not going to mention that it's wild, at least not yet. At the last part he nods.]

[Well, then this is a surprise since he's the only one who passed through the portal at the same time the Pokemon came in with him.]

My goodness. Can you tell me about the Pokemon that followed you?

I was told it's a Milotic. Where it came from is kind of a long story, let's just say this isn't our first portal.

[Oh! So he has a rare Milotic then?]

What do you mean? You mean this is not your first world to be sent here by accident?

[alchemyfreak]

No, a bunch of Pokemon showed up in the first world I was pulled into. This is our third. The only reason I know anything about it is because people from your world, I guess, were around to share some information.

[Not much, but he knew what it was called and why it showed up, so that was something at least.]

[So that's the reason why he isn't confused regarding the term, "Pokemon".]

I see. Well, did you meet anyone by the names "Ash" or "Alain" while you're there?

His name was Cyrus. He didn't exactly have good people skills.

[Ed is putting that super lightly, dude emanated evil vibes.]

["Cyrus" He didn't hear of that name before, but he guesses that he didn't meet the two boys there.]

I see. But he did give you any information about Pokemon?

He told me what it was called, and why it showed up. Kind of a man of few words.

[Ed was lucky to get that much out of him, especially unprompted.]

Oh, and that I should be honored by the presence... I guess they're not very common.

[Strange man, but to Sycamore's eyes, he feels that this Cyrus person isn't all bad.]

Well, at least he gave you what you need to know about Pokemon. Though I wish I could have met him in person.

We've gotten by this long, but it'd be nice to learn more now if the opportunity is there.
