[The video opens up on Ivar in the hallway of the hospital, sitting right outside a room. His free hand has a knife in it, fiddling round with it. Some might notice there's holes in the wall from where he's already stabbed through it a few times. He's got a grim look on his face and his eyes are hard, like someone facing a battle that they know they can't win.]
For those who care, Letha's in the hospital. Things aren't looking good. She's-- [There's a moment where something flickers over his face, an expression filled with pain and worry. Then he composes himself again.] --Something's gone wrong with her daughter, and according to the doctors, it's draining her life force. They don't know if they can fix what's wrong with her.
[For a moment, it appears that's all he's going to say. Then he turns and swiftly drives the knife into the wall again, burying the blade right up to its hilt. Well, Ivar wouldn't be himself without an irrational spike of anger.] Someone distract me before I kill one of these useless doctors.

Apparently, this has been going on for a while, maybe even for months, what with her daughter getting bigger and developing more with time. They think dying and coming back might have had something to do with it. She's been getting weak and having these dizzy spells, but she wouldn't go to the hospital until she literally couldn't move anymore.

[ And honestly, this sounds pretty fucked up so count him on his way to see what can be done (if anything). ]
And I don't know who Letha is but this doesn't sound all that medical in nature. Did they give you any other details?
no subject
[Right now, all Ivar could see was a bunch of useless healers. What good were they if they couldn't even make a pregnant woman better?]
They think her dying and coming back to life might have had some strange effect on her child.

He's almost left speechless. Almost. ]
...well, they aren't wrong. Humans don't work that way.
[ Usually. ]
How did she accomplish this?
no subject
She died in her own world, but since she was a necromancer and her spirit was outside of her body at the time, she couldn't properly move on to the afterlife. Her spirit and that of her daughter's was trapped in between and begun to rot. Don't ask me how that works. When she was pulled here, she was brought back to life.

[ a sigh. ]
If you're good with those knives, I'll spar with you. Is that distraction enough?
no subject
[He nods.] That'll work. Just don't blame me if you end up in here too.
no subject
[ a sigh and then he snorts. ] Trust me, that won't happen.

[If she gets through this, he thinks to himself before he can stop.]
So you say.

Can you explain more clearly about her condition? More importantly, what exactly happened to her and her daughter?
Re: Video (@prof.sycamore)
[Something flickers in his eyes, worry and pain for someone that he loves.]
Today was the worst I've ever seen her. She looked like she-- [But he can't say the words out loud. That she looked like she was dying.]
They say something is very different about her daughter. That somehow she's draining her life away unintentionally. They're looking for a way to stop it, but for right now, there's nothing more they can do.
Re: Video (@prof.sycamore)
I-I'm sorry to hear that. I wish I could do more to help her.

@dodger/video
[Ah yes, the only downside of the network... Dodger is there. And there is a more than healthy amount of amusement on his face.]
Why you worried, Ragnarsson? The kid yours?
no subject
I got here five months ago. She's almost eight and a half months pregnant. You do the math, genius.
[There's a tone in his voice he usually reserves for Sigurd when he's being especially stupid.]
But she's mine in all the ways that count.
no subject
Not for too much longer, by the sounds of it. [He takes a moment to light a cigarette, cocking his head like he's talking down to a five year old... an ironic attitude, since Dodger tends to take children much more seriously than he takes Ivar.] And you want a distraction while your girlfriend's dying on the slab... pathetic.

[He'd tried to do what he could with his transmutation stone, briefly restoring some of Letha's strength, but he's a wizard, not a healer, and at least this point he knows he just has to leave it to the hands of people who are more capable.
But he can still visit Letha, if she's well enough for it.]
no subject
It'd do her some good to see familiar faces.
[He may not particularly care for Taako, but Letha is fond of him, so that's all that matters right now.]
no subject
[He can already tell this announcement has a few people fussing over Letha, so he'll give it a little while, in case anyone else is heading her way.]
You know she's gonna be okay, yeah? They've got doctors and healers and all sorts of shit here. They'll figure something out.
[He doesn't particularly care for Ivar, either, but he can tell that the kid cares about Letha, so Taako can make an attempt at reassurance.]

For Eichi - After the thread with Dodger and Eddie
His Pokemon have followed him, worried but helpless in the face of their master's injuries. It's not just the burns. Fear toxin has been pumped into him. It's going to last for a few more hours. Until it wears off, Ivar will be experiencing his greatest fear: water, or more accurately, drowning in it. His arms twitch a little as he tries to push away the imaginary liquid lapping at the edges of his feet.]
Water...so much water...
no subject
[Eichi isn't really dressed to leave the building. Not like he normally would be. In just some sweats and a short-sleeved shirt, it's clear that he'd been intending to practice— but the commotion from the other floor has interrupted that thoroughly. He doesn't have a death wish, despite his curiosity, so he waits until the noise has died down considerable to investigate.
He doesn't expect to see a familiar face. Someone he'd met when he was stuck in the past himself... He gives the pokemon a glance, immediately recognizing them from the one Yuuri had had when he was here before. Those creatures that run around and act like little bodyguards, right? It doesn't seem as though they were the issue.
He kneels beside Ivar at the wall, reaching gently to try and stop one of Ivar's hands from pushing so that he can get a better look. He seems out of it.]
You're hurt. There's no water here, you know? It's just me, Eichi. Let me take a look at that burn...
no subject
No! No, you stay away.
[He's not thinking clearly, the terror overwhelming his common sense. Eichi isn't here to help, he's just going to let him drown. He tries to crawl away, but he's too injured for his shoulder to support his full weight. He collapses before he gets more than two steps. Hrimfaxi, his Blitzle, immediately rushes to his side, nudging him insistently with her muzzle. There's nothing she can do to help him and it's distressing her greatly. She looks up at Eichi with a pair of electric blue eyes, pleading with him as she softly calls out, 'Blitzle, Blitz! It's clear she's asking for help.]
